LoL! First off you know that car magazines always look down on the convertible version, exactly like the reviews of the 430 Spider vs. The 430 Coupe. That being said I don't know which magazine you're reading because the ones I've read so far like AZ & EVO have commented how surprised they were that the Turbo Cab was so good. On top of that the Turbo Cab has already given the G-Spider a bloody nose kicking it's ass in both acceleration and track times. Not bad for a 2+2 seater "GT" that also happens to cost approx $60k less than the G-car.

Somebody had posted they found one at a 4% discount but I didn't ask the details of the deal, if there was a trade involved or where the dealer was located, etc. There are quite a few dealers in my area, 10 Porsche dealers within 27 mile's of my home.. I haven't heard of any Turbo Cab.'s at discounts. Have heard of asking prices over msrp but obviously that wont last long. But it's also the end of buying season in my area for convertibles.

Any five star ratings? I do not know of any.
FWIW, the 430 Spider had all five star ratings.
Regarding the Gallardo Spyder, I have not seen it compared to the 997TT in performance. However, it is fair to say that in styling and sensuousness it would like comparing Cindy Crawford to Ugly Betty.

"In styling and sensuousness" it's similair to comparing a 430 coupe vs a 430 Spider.
I personally think the G-Spyder would be an nice weekend car but it's Lambo Countach styling is not for me, not for a sports car that I use everyday.. Would much rather have a Turbo Cabriolet even if the Lambo Spyder wasn't $60k more, had back seats and could keep up with the Turbo Cab.
Someone already listed the performance test. Nothing from you eh? No ground at all? Not surprised or anything? Come on Nick your problem is you cant be honest when there is something positive about the 911. Another problem with your 997 judgement's is you haven't been a 997 owner and probably haven't had enough 997 seat time to fairly judge the car vs the 430 or period. The fact that it will never happen either is fine. Still love ya though

Are 911's good performance cars? Yes.
Are 911's good engineered cars? Yes.
Are 911's reliable cars? Yes.
However,I have driven enough 911's to know that;
If you have driven one 911, you pretty much have driven them all except for the variance in power.
They all look alike.
They are all visually boring(I know,I know, form follows function, blah, blah, blah)
Their cold efficient makes them boring and soulless to drive and as a result unexciting.
They all sound like a sewing machine that needs oiling.
Those with PSE are even worse because they sound like a farting Oozy
But they are fast.
