    cayenne turbos selling?

    cayenne turbo selling or are they sitting on the lots? should i get one, or do they drink way to much gas??

    Here in Vancouver dealer is selling according to the waitlist. 1-2 cars per dealer per month. Waitlist is more than 9 months long. No chance of car sitting on the lots. From what I read, gas consumption is less than previous generation thanks to DFI. Yes, you should get one. It will speed up your home visits, doc.

    Within 50 miles of my home are 8 Porsche dealerships. They currently show 33 Cayenne Turbos on hand or on the way to their dealerships. Compare this with 32 available 911 Turbos.

    So, if you compare them to the 911 Turbo, it doesn't appear that there are an excessive number of them available.

    My nearest dealer doesn't have any.

    I'm still not seeing large quantities of '08 Cayennes delivered to dealer's lots. We may have some short term supply constraints, since production is still ramping up. Things will surely change by year end. During the peak of '06 production last year, dealer lots were full of Cayennes, and some Turbo S inventories remain until this day.

    jus askin bout gas because i plan to take a long road trip after i get it. so yea its gonna be the CTT.

    They get much better fuel economy on the open road than around town. I have gotten as little as 8-10 MPG in pure stop and go city driving and as much as 19 on the highway (and even that was city highway driving). Don't know what you might get on an real open highway, maybe even better.

    19 is awesome for a 500 hp, suv. i believe u can improve it with aftermarket exhaust, airfilter etc.

    19mpg is a little over 12 l/100km which is pretty close to what I get on the 2005 CS on an open road at about 100km/h. So I guess the turbo doesn't drink much more when there's no actual turbo action. Especially the new model year.

    It takes a real light foot to get 19 MPG. Being that I don't usually drive without an occassional mashing the pedal something like 16 or so MPG is probably more realistic in most situations.

    I have gotten 19, but it is not the norm.
