Cayman S on the track for 1st time last week
It was a load of fun. Did a 'practice' day at Oran Park (Sydney). 95% cars there were Porsches, some nice GT2s, 996TTs and a stack of beautiful GT3s (and a RS).
CaymanS was very confident in all situations (where driver got it right & slightly wrong). Noticed the brakes had a lot more fade than what my C4S had. (dealer recommended in 'upgrading' the brake fluid). Cornering speeds were excellent, but on one particular corner (on exit) it was hard to keep the PSM from getting in the way.
My tyres (Mich N's) were hammered, rubber melted / embedded everywhere even though I dropped the psi by about 10. They were OK for about 6 laps, then they needed a rest! I think I need some R spec's ASAP.
I can't but wonder what PASM / sport button / -20mm would be like.
Just done under 2,000km in the car so far, and it just keeps giving me good surprises. These cars are way under-rated!
