    Turbo car cover

    Hi, Where is the best place to find a cover to fit the 2007 turbo ? The dealer in my area are all out . thanks

    FWIW, Suncoast (2nd link) is a very good place; prompt courteous and no BS. (no experience with sunset but I hear good stuff)

    Pick your cover carefully. Do you want one for indoors or outdoors? I have one for occasional use in dry weather, outdoors.

    MMD if you make the move to a turbo just keep your 997S OEM car cover. Its a tight fit up front but it fits nonetheless (just put mine on). FYI.

    It's more of a tight fit at the back where you have the spoiler to worry about. I tried the one I had for a C4S and on the TT it was just too tight.

    just wanted to let anyone else know that needs a Cover for their turbo, receive my from Suncoast Motor Sports in 3 days and a great cover. Great !

    I just placed my order with them and should have it by August. They don't have any in stock right now.

    Oh..., you car cover owners _DO_ have and use a california duster _everytime_ before you put the cover on, right?

    Otherwise your cover's inside can become dirty and gritty and y'all know what that means: the terror of _possible_ scratches if not the horror of _actual_ scratches.

    Funny thing is that I have the cover but I've NEVER even bothered to take it out of the storage bag and actually use it!

    I keep a lightweight one in the trunk (of my mere 997S) with C duster!and use it when parking under sappy trees; sometimes use it to "prevent" vandalism (no Porsche emblem on it).

    MMD the cover from my 997S (really tight fit, especially on the front nose for some reason) is for indoor use only so I went ahead and ordered the outdoor one hoping it has the holes to slip a cable through so it won't get ripped off. The indoor one has no holes for a cable as it would never be waranted in your own garage.

    I tried my 997S cover and if I started at the rear I could get it over the spoiler but couldn't get the front to fit. If I started at the front, I could get the cover over the spoiler but not over the rear bumper - it must be the extra height of the spoiler plus the extra 16mm in length the TT has over the 997.

    Just wanted everyone to know that the cover that i got from Suncoast was nothing more than a big rag . No way will this fit a 997 turbo ! Sorry if i mislead anyone .

    Assuming you ordered the right part and assuming Suncoast sent you the right part, it fits. I bought the indoor cover from them and the few times I've used it I start from the front, get the mirror pockets on and then continue to move pack. The material will stretch a little and it will fit over the spoiler.

    I also have indoor Turbo cover which I ordered from a dealership down in California (I don't even remember which one). It fits mine just fine too so I think that it's possible that either you may have gotten the wrong one or maybe you didn't use the correct method as Jeff pointed out to put it on.

    passed on a car cover...in favor of a dust free epoxy floor..with that and a calif duster the tt stays dust and scratch free...i cringe at how much dust and dirt my previous indoor covers trapped and left on the car....done with indoor car covers
