    So heres my new baby... Aston!

    Car was just received today by the dealer and went to have a quick look after work! I am so excited, the colour combination is amazing! Even my salesperson was stunned, he didnt expect it to be so nice!

    Now for a weeks wait (as per contract terms...). Car has to be kept for a week before handing it to the owner...

    I havent driven a sportshift car yet, but heard that the production cars have been fine tuned... Will wait and see!

    The interior is bitter chocolate with silver coarse stitching and flynt seat belts... Havent got any interior pics yet, was very excited when i saw it and therefore didnt take many photos...

    SciFrog: The anthracite wheels are amazing, they have a matt finish! I believe that it really suits light coloured cars, but it should look good on red and yellow!

    White is great color for this car. Very Mediterranean and James Bond like. I bet you will get a lot of ladies attention.

    Wow, that is the exact combo (same body colour, interior colour and wheels colour!)I ordered until I decided not to wait so long and picked up a cancelled order. Glad to see how nice it looks! Well done. There are more and more of us Rennteamers who have switched to an AMV8...

    Ziggy: The colour is Morning Frost white(out of range-match to sample), i never knew about the existence of the Stratus white(contemporary) until a month ago... The colour is just magnificent under direct sunlight!

    nberry: The reason for the one week delay is a clause in the contract when you order the car, the dealer must keep the car for a week at least in order to prepare it and make sure everything is in good order! I am trying to make them overlook this clause so that i can take delivery earlier!!! But my sales person is on holiday the whole of next week so... i am not sure if i will be able...

    Nevertheless i am very happy because in the beginning factory didnt want to accept my order and i had a december 2007 or january 2008 built slot-because of the exterior colour. Which was then transfered to a july 2007 built slot, with the help of my dealer!!! And finally the baby was put into production june 05th and delivered in monaco july 06th!!! Couldnt be happier!!!

    You are going to have a very fun time in that car. My wife absolutely loves her Vantage (after three late model Porches). Her experiences in the car have been positive both in terms of driving fun and positive feedback from people on the road. At her insistence (not just permission), we're going to add a second Aston in December. She's had THAT good of a time in the Vantage.

    Congrats on your new smile induction machine.

    Nikolas, that should be five more days and counting down now.... The wait must be anguished anticipation. Just keep the mindset that the Vantage is a punchy GT and not a dedicated track day car. It looks fabulous, pulls in the admirers, and lets you have both a fun ride in the curves as well as deliver you to far destinations without fatigue. Miles magically melt away and destinations feel like half the distance they did in her C4 996 or CS 997.

    BTW it's also a much easier car to wash than her Carerras. The body shape and lack of crevices make the job go quickly. I'm the one who does the washing and I do it happily on her Aston. You can recognize me by the loud noise of the leaf blower I use to dry off the car scratchlessly.

    An aside.... Twice, my wife's Vantage has been absolutely, positively identified by onlookers as a Bentley Conti GT. During one of these episodes, she overheard a man on the sidewalk teach his dog, "That is a Bentley." We had a good laugh with that.

    Another thing you may experience is that the Vantage has two very distinct reactions depending on where you are driving. If the people "know to know", they'll point it out to their friends and excitedly take pictures. If they don't know, you are invisible - something impossible in a flashier vehicle. Beautiful AND subtle. That dichotomy actually works well when you don't really want to be noticed while enjoying the rural districts. The Vantage comes complete with a cloaking device, but your white color might nullify the cloaking function.

    WAY, the coming stable mate for my wife's Vantage is a DB9 in exactly the same color as hers. It will amusingly confound since most can't tell the Aston models apart anyway.

    thats combination is the best, I have just ordered mine in that same combination, what were the options that you had, I had a lot of trouble getting a dealer to accept the order (also wanted LHD in the uk, as moving to Spain in a couple of years), if you have any high res pictures of the car please cna you send me some.

    can you tell us what colour headlining you went for, i can not decide between the grey and the cream, would love a chocolate headlining but the factory have turned down that request.

    You should have it now, hope you are enjoying it.
