Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

Another little lump on the back here - Bluetooth?

Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

Could you please also post some interior shots of the new GT2?

(Just kidding - great pictures )

Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

Gents, this car is ready to go. No camouflage execept for the sticker over the new LED-indicators.
If you ask me, we will see the 997 facelift in spring 2008 at the latest, if not even earlier.

Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

Thanks for posting the pix Phoenix_911!

Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

Rossi, that's also what I think, following a conversation with OPC in UK.

All indications (unfounded rumors, supplier and dealer info etc) show a release as MY09 in March 08. Basically the same rollout as for the Cayenne this year.

    yah

totally correct, went to the OPC GB headquarters in Reading today and was told that definitely MY09. With regards to the changes all they know is the new DFI and that's it.

Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

    Good morning everybody!

I promised you to post another pic of the facelifted 997 Mk II. Sorry of the bad quality of the pic , but only tried to do photo with my new handy. Nevertheless enjoy it.

I like the color, what do you think... which color is it?

    Greetings

Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

I am not totally feeling the new foglights.

too big, would be better if they use the turbo style LED's, just a thought.

Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

I am under the impression that the directionals are LED's, just like with the turbo, only integrated into the foglight assembly, and that the foglights are normal bulbs like in the mk1 997.

Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

the turbo has a gap between the bumper mould and the actual lights, but based on the pictures seen for the facelift there isn't this gap between the light and bumper, I might be wrong.

Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

True, but I meant it had the same TECHNOLOGY. Only directionals are leds, the rest of the foglight assembly is normal lights. The SHAPE can only be seen vaguely through the cammo, but it looks like it is quite similar to the boxster look: Foglight assembly in the top of the inlet, wheras the mk1 has them above the inlet, and the turbo halfway the inlet.

Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

@Phoenix - great shots, well done! Thanks for sharing!

    Pity

We can't have the mechanical improvements, like DFI or PDK, and possibly PTM for the 4's, without having the poorly designed facelift changes. That car looks more a copy of every other design on the market by the minute.

Is the color perhaps 'Ocean Blue' as Midnight Blue seems darker?

Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

is this an sportexhaust on the 997 MK1? this are very big tips!

Re: HOT: Pictures of 997 Facelift!!!!

good catch! I think this is a new engine in the old body. Those tips are different than the PSE

    Why?

This is the new rear valance we've seen on the facelift cars. Check out all the previous spy shots for confirmation of that. Doesn't mean the engine's changed at all.

    Re: Why?

Can we expect to see new Carrera S wheels along with the facelift?

The car on the left is the present rear valance and taillights.
