d997h:Hope, your coming out was not too painful...so, you actually have a white car then ?
I may tell again that I put some white stripes only on my black car, as I didn't dare to exploit the full (white wrap) power mode...
Did I already mention that if you put white stripes onto a white wrap on a white car then ...............

apparently GT3RS.2 production slots will run from dec 2017 (same starting date as GT2RS) until the end of 2018 (GT2RS will stop in june 2018). i hear of no numbering limit of GT2RS, just the short time slot will limit production.
again, take this with a grain of salt, it comes from two dealerships (independently).

Porsche is going to build a 991.2 GT3RS? I am getting conflicting information as to whether this car will be built. Is there solid information either way?

unfortunately rather solid info. the car is in the production plan, of course this still can be changed. but why should they leave so much money on the table? peter
nberry:FWIW, my dealer has 68 buyers on his list for the 991.2GT3RS. Amazing when you consider no one knows whether it will be built. Porsche GT cars are on a roll.
Wow - glad to be #1 at small dealer. But I was #1 for R also...
16 Cayman GT4, 73 Carrera RS 2.7 Carbon Fiber replica (1,890 lbs), 06 EVO9 with track mods. Former: 73 911S, Two 951S's, 996 C2, 993 C2, 98 Ferrari 550, 79 635CSi
Fortunately my dealer factors in whether you are a good customer in deciding priority. I am told I am a good and valued customer. Buying eight Porsche's in the past 15 years should qualify me. In addition the owner of the Porsche dealership also owns the Landrover dealership where I bought my RRS.
Another positive is if they build the RS2 I don't believe the 918 owners will get priority. If I am not mistaken their VIP treatment for new models expires after three years or is it five?
Of little, to make much: That is the dream of a human life.
Porsche Canada doesn't officially have the PCNA VIP program, they only sold 32 cars here and I think only 20-24 are still with their original owners. As a courtesy, they do ask those original owners first for car allocations.
Do you mean the .2GT3RS or the .2GT2RS? Whatever the car, I am sure I will be offered one.
But.
Right now I think the 991 GT3RS is the PERFECT 911. I certainly cannot see how Porsche can improve on it. I do not have one single wish for improvement. Hell I don't even think I want more power from the car, 500hp is plenty enough even on a track. It is so much fun driving the damn thing, on the road, on the track and even on ice.
I meant 991.2GT3RS. I am trying to gauge what 918 owners would do.
FWIW, I felt the same way about my 991GT3. I gave it up prematurely. However, after seeing the RS in the flesh and on the road I said I have to one. My wife firmly believes I am losing my mind (she was not a big fan of the Gt3 and certainly doesn't understand why I would want the RS). She may be right.
