RC I'm blown away by the amount of knowledge you possess about Porsches and cars in general, no matter what aspect of the car we are talking about.
This is a great forum and you are a huge asset, i'm so thankful rennteam exists.

RC said:What you just mentioned is actually the prejudice Europeans (and some Germans) have towards Americans. I recently talked to a german GT3 owner and I told him about how many people from the US I know who bought a GT3 or even the Carrera GT. His first reaction was "what the hell do Americans need such cars for, driving at 60 mph to McDonald's and back home?". I think there is a lot of prejudice lately, especially since the european press started a full campaign against US politics and of course people who read newspapers and watch new on TV get influenced. But it is also a very old prejudice from us Germans that Americans don't need fast cars.
Well, I can assure you that Porsche doesn't think this way, they appreciate US customers very much and to my knowledge the US market is the most important world market to them.

Thanks for the pics! I just have a question and it's not completely evident from the pics. How does the back of the Carrera S compare to the C4S? Does the C4S have a much wider body?
I know the new body is wider, just don't know how they compare. Also, are the only visual differences between the Carrera S and Carrera the exhuast tips and wheels?
Thanks!

The 997/997S are 1.5" wider than a 996C2 and if I recall correctly the C4S/TT are 2.5 inches wider than the 996C2, so the difference is only 1" and the 997 was more accentuated hip curves so its probably very close...
