    Finally the wait is over

Finally picked up my Turbo a few days back and am very pleased making the switch from a 2005 997S. In 2 days I'll have a Ventureshield clear bra installed on the entire front hood, side fenders, front bumper, and both mirrors.

Great, just great! And the view is magnificant, too!

Can you tell more about that shield. When going closer, can you see it?

Re: Finally the wait is over

looks fabolous, gt-silver really makes the lines of this car come out! Enjoy it..

btw, the car looks so much better without a front license plate!

I'll let you know in a few days. This is the first time I will be using this new product (supposed to have superior clarity and not yellow over time)?

Re: Finally the wait is over

    another interior shot

Re: Finally the wait is over

Interior is black with standard stitching.

Re: Finally the wait is over

This is black interior and the color of the photos might be off a bit.

Re: Finally the wait is over

    Last one.

Re: Finally the wait is over

    Last one (really).

Re: Finally the wait is over

    congrats mate!

that is one of the nicest turbo's ive seen, very classy

    Enjoy in good health!

Re: Finally the wait is over

Verry nice, the standard stitching looks very classy. The colored one is sometimes a bit too much for my taste.

Good choice to go for GT Silver!

Re: Finally the wait is over

Magnificent. Great car. Great pics. Enjoy it!

Re: Finally the wait is over

Nice move on the door finishers and rear console in leather!

Re: Finally the wait is over

    Congrats, very nice car
I love the "turbo" on the rear console and the picture with "alco-trash" in the background

Re: Finally the wait is over

    Chris,

Do you mind listing all the leather options that you ordered? I'm curious to see what you got. From what I can see you have:

    Door finishers
    Gear shift trim
    Center vent trim
    A column
    Sun visors
    Dome light
    Door sill trim
    Rear Center Console
    Model logo

Am I missing anything? Looks like you have it all!

Re: Finally the wait is over

I should've got the door finishers and console lid, dammit!

Re: Finally the wait is over

    Congrats! very nice .
    Enjoy it in good health.

Re: Finally the wait is over

    congrats!

Re: Finally the wait is over

I love the full-leather option on the doors and in the whole car... great choice

Re: Finally the wait is over

Yes indeed, the full leather looks stunning. Congrats!

Jason, its Ermanno (you have me mixed up with Chris). Anyhow, here are the options list. I debated about doing the PCM in leather but passed because the price of the car was going over my budget. I also considered sport seat backs in leather but my 2 neices would have them scuffed up in no time so I passed. It came out really nice and the fit and finish really stand out on this car. The standard black leather has a suede feel to it which feels more plush than my 997S's leather. It keeps you planed in your seat and is not so slippery. I also notice that the sport adaptive seats are just slightly different, a little narrower when sitting in them. The auto dimming mirror (standard) is a godsend for night driving (my 997S didn't have that option and I regretted it). Porsche might be cranking out these Turbos but the fit and finish are second to none.

Ermanno - you are a great guy. But I gotta ask you. Why the leather fuse box LOL!? Can you even see it!?

Re: Finally the wait is over

I wish I got the leather fuse box! IMHO, it looks pretty bad in plastic down there.

Sorry Ermanno, I thought your name was Chris!

Do you mind taking a picture of the leather fuse box? I'm thinking about ordering it using the VIN that I have from the guy that ordered EVERY leather option in his car!

And, how does that work to get both 498 and CUC? Delete model designation and getting it painted too? Huh?

Re: Finally the wait is over

Congratulations on a fantastic looking car!

You make me wish I had ordered more leather!!

My build date is only 3 weeks away

To get CUC you have to order 498 - I know it sounds strange but that's the way it works.

Re: Finally the wait is over

    Congrats, beautiful interior

Re: Finally the wait is over

I guess that's Porsche's way to squeeze more money out of us customers. Delete one badge to get another!
