Boxster - Cayman Comparison
I didn't get the Cayman when it was launched - pricing, performance, looks, the whole thing. However, after driving its somewhat clearer...... (this is sounding like a sales pitch 
)
blah ... blah .... blahhh ... (audience wakes up) so after driving, the dynamics have made me realise its a model in its own right, and not just a Boxster variant
So the differences, without doing a comparison
- Much firmer suspension, I can definitely tell its on 19"s
- Very pointy, with more direct steering
- Bit quieter inside, so stereo easier to hear
- Feels lighter and more nimble
- Engine is more responsive, maybe PSE, or the fact that my outgoing 987 was VERY tight
As for PSE .... the jury is still out:
- It sounds great when you blip the throttle from idle
- Under normal load its virtually undetectable
- Somewhat louder in the upper revs under load
Will report back when it has burnt in some more....
To conclude, I'm feeling happy with the Cayman. On the plus side, its kinda like a mini GT3, but will have to see if the hard ride and lack of convertibleness become an irritation.

I love the Cayman and would consider it to replace my Boxster. I love the lines and I think it looks better then the 911. Awesome car, I am sure you will love it!
