Sorry :(
no worries, the car is for enjoyment after all. i'll just keep driving it for 20 more years:::))))
i think the same is going to happen with the GT2RS. they will not do 7000 pieces but as many as they have orders - i guess around 3000. i am doing the test: i called my PZ on friday and said that i want the GT2RS after all. the answer was, ok but we have to back-rank you from (my original) number 2 on the order list to number 8, with only 2 confirmed allocations. i bet in about six months time i shall get the call, like with the GT3RS ' a miracle happened, your GT2RS was confirmed by PAG'. that will be a lot of fun:::))))

I still believe there is a limited production possibility for the GT models - hence the numbers will be kept at 3-4k Units per model - but I agree that they are highly profitable as they don't have to give usual Discounts. I am in Weissach next Monday - let's see what we can "see"

Wow!
But... wait... you say he never drove a car before, and on his first occasion hit 200 km/h? Wow... Can you tel something more about the event? Did it contain driver education, did they build up to that speed, or something else?
Porsche, separates Le Mans from Le Boys
Joost:Wow!

No, nothing
The track was at Issoire , next to Clermont-Ferrand . It is a small but technical track . It was rented by our local Lamborghini club and I was invited to join in . The whole idea was to let our kids or wives drive our cars .
The first hour of the morning and afternoon was reserved to the regular drivers , and then the following two hours of the morning and afternoon were open to anyone . Kids had to drive with the blinkers on . That s it . Of they went, with the daddies sitting next to them to coach
We were a small group of about 20 cars all together . About 5 kids aged 10 to 16 . The 10 year old drove his father's 430 Scud It was fantastic and exceptional . I never saw this on a track . Thanks to the president of the Lambo club, he insisted that we could do this .

That seems amazing! I never heard of something like this. How did your son like it? Was he all buzzing afterward, or didn't he realize how special this was?
And your wife? No big fights at home because you let your son do 200?
Must have been a cool day, and can imagine it was pretty special for you as a dad as well... I guess there is no escaping for your boys, they are bound to become car persons as well

Porker:Haha, brilliant Eric!
I had my first drive at that age in a Mercedes 250d.
Mine was a Saab 93 - Two stroke engine - brap-brap-brap-brap-brap-brap

Quite amazing indeed.
My son was able to drive for the first time in his life in a...Jeep Wrangler...serious Off-Road edition recently.
The guide's friend who was with us was the local Sheriff and when my wife asked..."of course, sure...the boy should drive a car..." and my son drove around (with me on the passenger seat of course) in the desert. He couldn't do much harm there, so no damage done.
