    Audi is much too generous.

    Maybe they need to double, triple, quadruple those prices

    Audi has gone nuts.

    Dimitri,

    Bucket seats are around 20kg lighter(in leather) then normal ones. Add Ceramic Brakes(another 20kg's!) when available and weight goes down from 1632kg to 1592kg! And performace goes to level promissed by Audi. At least that is what I did-changed my order today...

    i think that's too expensive for an Audi.

    Now I think Porsche options prices are resonable, after looking at the Ferrari and especially the Audi options prices makes me feel better!

    Remember R8 0-200km/h in AZ? 15.2s and that example of R8 has more then 8000km's on clock. The one used by AMS around 2000km's on clock. Point is that R8(also RS4) engine needs more time fo fully loose up and deliver the promissed power.
    That is the fact.

    That sounds logical. There are many great sports car engines that need that amount of kilometres to be driven in properly.

    it could!

    And it already happend with RS4. AMS measured RS4 with 11000km's on clock and 0-100km/h is 4.4!!

    My friend owns RS4 and his car is now(with 9500km's) going much better then the new one. Oil consumption droped to almost non existant as well.

    There should be an improvement, but 2 seconds is surely too much.

    For example RS4 with 1800km's in AMS:

    0-100km/h: 4.7s
    0-160km/h:11.0s
    0-200km/h:17.2s

    RS4 in AMS with around 9000km's:

    0-100km/h: 4.4s
    0-160km/h:10.0s
    0-200km/h:15.6s

    See the difference when engine loose up?

    Interesting info. I ve heard about the engines (for high performance cars) find themselves and start to show original performance above 5000km.

    Question : why would Audi then pass testcars below 9000 km on the clock when all you get is negative publicity ? I thought usually cars given to top car magazines are pre-selected which have AT LEAST the stated HP figure. Old examples of testcars like AMG's or GT3's with 429hp have proven that. Audi cannot be that stupid..
    For me the R8 remains a marketing car to push the brand and as good as it is looking in flesh - is not a competitive car.

    That Monoposto is also in Audi Exclusive leather(example if you choose Jet Grey for the seats, then monoposto is in same color. Monoposto is usually in Micrometallic Grey, Carbon Sigma or Piano Black).

    No. But, V10 test mule was with all Daytona Grey color code.

    You will see mine in autumn with also all Daytona Grey...
