those with Cocoa interiors, please help

I am receiving conflicting info on the color of the headliner, sunvisors and area around the dome light on a C2S, are they cocoa, or gray? Thanks

Re: those with Cocoa interiors, please help

You can order the cocoa leather headliner, sunvisors and dome light along with additional pieces. When we ordered the standard headliner was black alcantra with black sunvisors.

Re: those with Cocoa interiors, please help

thank you. Do you know if the alcantara can be ordered in cocoa?

Re: those with Cocoa interiors, please help

I cant help you. My rooflinning is black but it really does not matter to me and as a matter of fact you cant really notice it.

    Enjoy your future P Car!

Re: those with Cocoa interiors, please help

I don't know if you can get the alcantara in black, I guess you can only order a leather headliner in your interior colour, cocoa for example.

But the alcantara doesn't bother me at all, the black at the headliner fits very well to the cocoa of the rest of the cabin. Same goes for the area around the interior light. Only the sunvisors, which come in a kind of black leather imitation look a little bit cheap, but you can get them in leather if you don't like them.

Re: those with Cocoa interiors, please help

I have the black alcantara roofliner as standard. I added:

    XMP sunvisors in cocoa leather
CVW rear view mirror covered in cocoa leather
XZD interior light surround covered in cocoa leather

    Looks beautiful to me.

Yes, you can order the roofliner in cocoa alcantara if you wish as a Porsche Exclusive option or as a normal option in cocoa leather.

IMHO the standard sunvisors are a bit cheap - kind of like a vinyl/leatherette finish. The standard interior light surround is made of plain black plastic. I guess it all depends on how much you like plastic!

Re: those with Cocoa interiors, please help

I have a cocoa interior and to be honest you don't even notice the black colour of the alcantara rooflining or even the sun visors - they just look like they are in the shade (which they are). I agree that the visors are plasticky and tacky and that leather covered ones would be better, though.

I think the more useful leather extras are the rear centre console etc which I didn't get but regret not doing so, and (getting a bit OT here) of course -20mm suspension which I regret every day, even though I still love the car as it is...

    Good luck with your purchase.

    About headliners:

My new BMW came with a black headliner when I EXPECTED it to be grey (like old one). It bothered me just long enough to rattle the salesguy's cage; then I forgot about it.

Actually, the black is a good choice. Now I'm glad it's not grey. Don't tell salesguy!

Re: those with Cocoa interiors, please help

I agreee with SonofStig's comments above. I would add one caveat though. When the sunroof is open during the daytime, and especially if it's a bright sunny day, the sunroof lets in a lot of daylight into the cabin. This makes the colour difference between the black alcantara roofliner and the cocoa sunvisors much more obvious.

However, this would only be a concern if the contrasting colours didn't look good together. BUT they do IMO so it's not an issue as far as I am concerned...

Re: those with Cocoa interiors, please help

I HAD to change the sun visors to cocoa, just couldn't stand the black plastic ones....i'm very please with the look and feel of the leather visors. If i could make one other suggestion, consider getting the inner sills in leather. It's pretty cheap to do when ordering the car and makes a nice addition to the interior. I really hate seeing a big black plastic piece below the door that in MY opinion messed up the classic look of the cocoa interior.

Agreed 1000%. They're an abomination. Find the guy at Porsche who approved them and fire him and his boss.

That problem is quite easy to solve: just don't get a sunroof.

Black for the headliner is definitely the better "colour" than grey! Black fit to every interior colour!

Re: those with Cocoa interiors, please help

True Rossi but I actually like having a sunroof....it's great to drive around town at night with the roof open...I've always loved that...

Drive a targa, that's sunroof in perfection.

Re: those with Cocoa interiors, please help

True but then I wouldn't be able to have -20mm...
