    20" rims on boxster 987, Pix anyone Please?

    I want to get 20" rims on my boxster.
    well i have a set in mind and the sizes are 20x8.5 et +45mm and 20x11.5 et50mm. will they fit? i mean would 15mm spacers make it work?" *i drive a 2005 987, non-s

    also, i would like to request pictures of 987 boxster with 20" rims

    actually.. the rims i have in mind are not 20x11.5 it's 20x11

    20x8.5 et +45mm and 20x11 et50mm.
    will they fit with 15mm spacers?

    i have 18"... and i dun fink 19" would make a visible difference.. so might as well go 20" haha

    No, sorry--the rubber-band tire and Hot Wheel-sized wheels have never done it for me. Save it for the Booty-Bass-Thumpin' SUV, rollin' on dubs.

    Just my opinion. I think 19" is pretty much at the limit.

    I didn't want to make a fashion statement with my 997S with the 19s especially if they provided zero performance improvement, a hardsher ride, and more expensive higher probability of replacement (tire and wheel).

    They only reason the 19s are stil on my car is I'm too lazy to change them to 18s and I, like a trained animal, have gotten used to the fabulous fashion of the 19s.



    Anyway, my ranting is over, you guys should enjoy your cars anyway you want (you're probably better at it than I am).

    Nachi have you looked into what tires you'd wrap around those chromed man-hole covers? You wouldn't want to just use any tire, even if you don't give a crap about Porsche approved and N-ratings.

    For example, the Techart rims in the picture I posted are shod with Continental ContiSportContact 2 Vmax. Four of those, if you can find them in 20 (which I doubt), cost about USD 2,400.

    I'm not sure if an 11" rim will fit. At least not on a 295/30/19 tire.

    previous pic and this one is with 19" x 11J rim of my 997C2s. as you can see, it rubs against the damper and protrudes from the body. Maybe 987's and Caymans have larger wheel wells?

    Continental ContiSportContact 2 Vmax,
    245/30/20 and 305/25/20, i can get it for under 2000 CAD shipped and taxed, brand new...

    as for looks, i fink it's more of a personal thing!

    did you have wheel spacers?


    as for performance matters...
    i still have my stock 18" with PS2 on them...

    for normal daily routine, i just drive on long-straight highways... ~~

    nachi, Go for the 20's!!! I think that techart one or the one on th 911 pictured above are awesome.

    BTW, don't judge me by my avatar, that's my 2 year old son. I'm 36 and don't think 20's are for Booty Bass Thumpin SUV's.

    That's quite a car but how is the ride now? I found that 19s on the Carreras are just right, but not sure if the 20s are something you can live with. What's been your experience so far? Reasonable ride?

    the ride is not that bad with 20's, i mean, take in consideration they are 20's, but it is something that at least I can live with. Now the coilovers I can only comment little because I have not tried them higher, they've been this low since I installed them but they are much harsher than stock/springs.
