    a new engine tweak, not a new gallardo. most probably direct injection and 550hp

    Ceramic Brakes(both fronts and rears 380mm/6caliper!!) are optional from mid MY07(December 2006) and they currently cost 12.000Euro without local VAT(or Mwst).

    ...and now a little clue why is every Gallardo from MY2007 little bit faster as manual then e.gear!

    In German(hopefully native Germans like Rossi or MKSGR will help here with translation!):
    "Der Gallardo in Männerausführung, also mit manueller Handschaltung, kann unter kundiger Hand eine Idee schneller als die E-Gear-Variante beschleunigen (siehe Test des baugleichen 2005er Gallardo SE E-Gear). Der Grund ist, dass bei der E-Gear-Schaltung auf Kundenwunsch das Einkuppeln entschärft wurde. Kunden der ersten Exemplare hatten sich darüber beschwert, dass der Gallardo E-Gear zu scharf anfahren würde (was suchen die eigentlich in einem Lamborghini ?!). Als Reaktion programmierte man das E-Gear so um, dass die Kupplung nun beim Anfahren stark schleift. Das muss man im "technisch rückständigen", handgeschalteten Gallardo nicht hinnehmen, sondern kann die Kupplung beim Anfahren richtig reinhauen. Zukunft bedeutet eben nicht immer Fortschritt... "

    This info is TRUE! And it is a reason that Gallardo(all 520hp versions) is little bit faster both in straight line and on the track in manual version then e.gear... Also manual is 5kg lighter as well but, you won't find that info in official Lambo papers...

    Interesting quote Is it taken from sportauto?

    Basically, they state that the new egear has a different programming, resulting in more slippage of the clutch when launching the car. While this increases comfort it does cost some performance compared to an optimal acceleration process in a car with manual transmission.

    Okay, here is my BabelCrash translation (with some creative liberties taken):

    The Gallado "Manly edition", meaning manual gearbox, can, with a good driver, accelerate a bit faster than than the E-Gear variant (see the 2005 test of an identical Gallardo SE E-Gear). The reason for this is the fact, that the clutch engagement was set more aggressively at the request of customers. This lead to the first delivered cars being criticized by customers for driving too roughly (what the heck did they expect from a Lambo, anyway?). The solution to the problem was to program the E-Gear to introduce heavy clutch slippage during acceleration. This is something that doesn't need to be taken into account with the "technologically inferior" manual version, as you can really slam the clutch when accelerating. After all, the future doesn't always mean progress.

    Thanks for the information. Imho, the MY07 G and G spyder seem to be the overall best sports cars at present. Performance, sound, gearbox and brakes choice, design, reliability, active and passive safety, all-weather capability, size, price, colors, German-Italian genes. What more could anyone ask?

    Thank you, I learn more and more about this marvelous car and it's evolution, from your first hand experience...

    I have to clap dhayeck's attitude: He's sincere. I have to agree, the best ratio "Sport car-"success"" , is in favour the Gallardo! (Specially Spyder)

    But please allow me a stupid comment: This BULL is SO SO nice in ANY colour or combo. Her/His lines are so pure, that no matter the colours...I'd only could express such oppinion refering to the the Vantage ( Yesterday I saw one in peral white....uncommon, but ufff, simply magnificent).

    If I had to buy a Gallardo (and the idea disturbs me every night), I'd ask the dealer to give me any colour: the first available. It's gorgeous at green, white, orange, any grey....

    The only one I'd have some difficulty to accept (my sight is old and tyred) is in red..., je, je,...I'd hardly accept it (Not with a Countach)...

    Not a pdf, just a new options for new MY08(from week 22/2007). There wont be any power upgrade on Gallardo till MY09.

    New base price in Europe is 135.000Euro(without local VAT).

    Prices for new options:

    Ipod interface 600Euro
    Premium Audio System 1500Euro
    White side indicators 200Euro
    Black colored exhaust pipes 350Euro
    Callisto Black colored rims 3500Euro
    Cordelia rims 4000Euro
    Q-citura 2000Euro

    ...and some options are little bit more expensive.

    Saturday, i went to the mall where they have a well regarded auto detailer in the garage. On the way in they had a yellow Murcielago and on my way out they had a black winged diablo. I also saw a yellow 575 on the way there plus a lot of 911's.

    The best looking lambo is a murci in all black.

    12k would be 14.280 Euro including VAT in Germany. I always thought Lamborghini's carbon-ceramic brakes sell for around 11k?

    Anyway, they are still cheaper than the Ferrari counterpart...

    I have also noticed a price increase. A few months back we had a discussion here about lp640 CCB costing roughly 10K euros as opposed to about 15K euros in case of the F430/Ferrari.

    Today I re-checked the pricing in the Czech republic and here is the result :
    LP640 CCB - 12500 euros up from about 10200
    Gallardo CCB - 12000 euro as Kreso says

    AFAIK it features more powerfull amp and better speakers.
    Guy who had a chance to audition it say it sounds pretty good! But, that charismatic V10 sounds way better...

    Well... This Gallardo Ceramics use pretty hard pads so, they have hard pedal feel on cold brakes. Also when cold you have a few milimetars of nothing then brakes could feel even over servoassisted. BUT, when warm they are amazing! Powerfull, consisten pedal feel and with shortest braking distance of all sportscars. Also they will use little bit softer pads from MY08...

    IMHO they are not a must(specially for US buyer with speed limits) but, I would order them in a second!
