    Yeah, even in the RS, I decided to add some nice stuff and sound plus since it is mainly for street use.

    after switching back and forward, I decided to keep the RS simple, just added some painted stuffs and let it as light as possible, so no sound plus or leathers...

    especially with all those real CF seats and CF wing and PCCB and plastic rear window!

    good!!!this is real RS way of thinking!!! if you buy gt3 you have to put less options possible to follow full gt3 spirit!!!

    Where are you? In the USA the Sound Package Plus is standard on all Carreras. Here is a list of standard interior items from the PCNA site for a base Carrera.

    -spoke steering wheel in leather with full-color Porsche crest
    On-board computer with continuous indication of mileage, time and speed
    Driver and passenger seats with power backrest, manual height adjustment and integrated airbags
    Folding rear-seat backrests and storage shelf behind rear seats
    Automatic full climate control with carbon filter
    Dual cup-holders integrated behind decorative molding in dashboard
    Lockable glovebox and storage compartment behind handbrake lever
    Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with 5.8" color display
    AM/FM radio with in-dash CD player (digital)
    Sound Package Plus with 9 speakers
    HomeLink programmable garage door opener
    Cruise control
    Illuminated vanity mirrors
    Instrument dials in black
    Power windows with one-touch up/down and anti-jam feature
    Roofliner in Alcantara

    Do you know where are the standard 4 speakers located?

    I know 2 are in each of the door panels, what about the other 2?

    Just goes to show how little knowledge most car salesmen know about their product. When I asked my salesman he had no doubt the the standard four speaker system had two in the door and two speakers in the rear.

    Thanks for the actual info. Think if you ordered a car based on the salesman's info. You would be surprised when the car arrived.

    Yeah, most sales people don't have detailed information just the basics, that's why I do my own research before buying. You would be amazed how little salespeople know about the products they sell.

    Why does everyone have to obsess about the last few grammes but have steel scaffolding that adds about 25kgs to the car, when it isn't even a full roll cage! I honestly think it is about impressing others... look I have a racing car!

    Time to stop listening to those that THINK you should have & buy what YOU want, adding a few extra luxuries to make the new GT3 even better as a daily driver will add a few kilos, but still MUCH less than a half cage that does zip unless you track a lot & then you should really go full cage!

    Reducing unsprung weight is a major positive event, but adding sprung weight alla a few extra kilos for an upgraded stereo or Sat Nav is neither here nor there unless you go mad! I weigh 13 stone my friend weighs 10, his car is already 3 stones lighter than mine!!!

    Get a life & start enjoying all aspects of the car, including a decent stereo, sod the 10 extra kilos!!!

    Couldn't agree more. I drive my GT3 on the street so I want some creature comforts, I ordered the sound package. It must have added at least 10 lbs., that's a little over the weight of 1 gallon of gas, not worth talking about.

    Sound is everything, I say go for it..But, you'd be better off putting in a whole new bought on your own stereo system if you want real sound, but whats a porsche without sounds man
