    Turbo Wheels Painted!!!

    Hy guys,i have a 997 carrera 4S in white and turbo wheels. I was wondering how the exclusive option with the painted rims looks especialy on white on the turbo wheel. Does anyone have some pictures? And also i dont know witch part is painted,the full rim or only the part that i have now in dark grey? Please help.

    Only the dark gray part is painted white, the polished face is still the same. I also have a white TT, but I not a big fan of the partial white wheels. Look on the Porsche website, and do a search here, there are lots of pics out there.

    I know that rims and caps painted to body color is not available as an OEM option as of 2 weeks ago when my order was finalized (5/9 production date). Several more experienced members said to go after market to paint the rims/caps. I'd be surprised to know that Porsche would option a NA 997 w/equivalent of X9D option for TT, while not offering in TT. My dealer, who does the exclusive options, said as of 2 weeks ago that factory just not offering now. If you know differently, would you kindly list your source (I'll call my dealer and start screaming!). If you just want to know what it looks like painted (aftermarket) I believe there were some recent 997TT rim photos on 6speedonline that were fantastic (if you look in the archives).

    I dont;t knoww about the dealer,i have my car for 2 months and when i gave my order i coulnd't paint them. I am thinking of makeing it aftermarket but i'm not sure yet. I searched and couldnt find any pictures. Do you havge a link?

    Here's a pic. IM H O they look a little too fabulous. Nice how they decided tojust paint the sides of the spokes and edge of the inner circumference. Will be a honkin' mofo to keep clean.

    I cant see if the interior of the wheel is also painted! Does anyone know for sure? I asm asking because i inted to do this to my car and i don't want to make a mess of it. Thanks a lot!

    Interior of wheel is not painted. They never are on new Porsche wheels; they always (seem to ) stay silver.

    gonna be a PITA with brake dust in these spots (not inside wheel).

    Try using RejeX, dust doesn't stick so bad; is easier to wipe off.

    loooks like its testing in sweden and the rims are covered in snow! i dont know what to think of it

    Yeah, I use (and we offer it) Rejex, and have for years. Makes wheel cleaning much easier.

    But the standard turbo wheel has gone to the darker shade everywhere but the outer surface, so it hides a ton of crud as is. Paint it lighter and you will create a lot more work for yourself.

    Those pictures from the European website reflect what I want (although I want black). Why are the Europeans able to order the painted wheel option, but not us in the States ?

    No, this option is also in Europe on hold. But, strange thing is that several press 997tt's in Europe have it...
