I'm thinking CS. Wider body, carbon fiber goodies, and better lines. The only downside is finding one with low miles and color/interior combo.

In pratice it's not as easy as picking one over the other.
Even harder to find a 430 at msrp then a used CS w/low milaege & color combo.
If you don't already have a relationship where you can buy a new 430 now at msrp I would buy a CS from a dealer so that you can get your name down for one.
What color combo are you interested in ?
In terms of a Theoretical decision of one over the other - You can't go wrong either way. All depends on what gets your heart pumping harder.

good call Grant, but how hard is it to find one...
I've seen two of them so far (and I've only seen about 6 F430's total).

You gotta go with the Challenge and a 6 speed if you can find one. It'll be much rarer than the 430 F1's that everyone else gets and surely Nick would agree and tell you that rarity and investment value are, by far, the primary considerations when buying a sports car.

As a CS with 6-speed would have a transmission change done by a someone else than Ferrari I doubt the investment value of it, but surely a rare car
I know you can get a manaual transmission changover done on MB models, but has anyone done it on the CS
