I don't drive a 997, but let me just tell you that you should never pay much attention to the specs/EPA ratings. These numbers aren't realistic, they are only for the purpose of comparison. In Europe, and I assume in the US too, these figures are achieved by putting the cars through a driving cycle with little acceleration in a laboratory environment, not in the real world with real drivers.

Also I seem to have read somewhere that at cruising speeds the X51 upgrade gives much better MPG, perhaps because of the better low end HP / Torque performance - anyone have any experience of this?
