I would go even further. Ferrari design as a whole lacks the inspiration and the cohesiveness of the earlier days. No matter at which of the newer cars you look, you will always find these design flaws. Last good designs were 328 and 355 at the V8-range and Testarossa/TR at the V12 as you said. It was the death of Enzo Rossi. That's pretty much what happened. For a while there after Enzo passed Ferrari was in turmoil & the reason you see such conservative designs is because of Montezemolo's conservative philosophy. But I think things will change over time. I just read an interview with him where he said Ferrari will always look to their past but also look to the future with new innovative design.
I agree with you about the TR, that's my favorite Ferrari even though I love the 599 & both M cars.
I disagree with you about the 360. Though I love the 355 the 360 was just as stunning IMO.
