I don't know, something from the Porsche Experience fleet? I don't know how much goodwill there is in such matters, luckily haven't experienced it either

It would of probably needed a few days to get organized. I still had hope for a last minute fixe.   asked the dealer , he had no proper car to lend me. Thanks for your very kind  offer , a lit complicated to fetch + not sure I would want to take the risk.

Latest news on my car. It is probably not the electronic boxe. They have no idea what the problem is .......

Could be a simple melted wire somewhere or a broken electric part ....... very hard to find where ....

Since the car is under warranty (??)  I would get the Porsche factory involved. I know a person who e-mailed to the VW factory for a problematic Golf and got a response and very quick service for his problem. For a Porsche RS this must be easier to make contact and get attention, I presume.

If this inability to diagnose carries on longer, couldn't you reject the product and ask for a replacement under the Law?

When it is a warranty problem , it has to go through the factory. And that actually has some negative impacts It makes everything much slower. The dealer can t even go directly to the factory. They have to go to Porsche Switzerland first and they then go to the factory. When warranty the procedure wants to first try to change the cheap parts and then slowly move up. The garage can’t do the work as they want. They do what the factory tells them to. Makes it all well processed but makes it also slow.

Re: Dave and Gnil @ Nürburgring Nordschleife

Slight diversion away from this thread: How is the paint quality on your CGT?  The local Bentley dealership finally received a shipment of the new Continental GT.  There was a V8 example in Beluga that had one of the worst paint finishes one has seen in years.  The bonnet was peppered with orange peel that one would have difficulty finding on a USD 20,000 car.  The other cars were finished in white so it was difficult to ascertain if they were just as poorly painted.

Re: Dave and Gnil @ Nürburgring Nordschleife

There’s been some issues with my CGT, but the paint work on mine is fine. But especially gearbox and electronics needed some work. Gearbox still not to my 100% liking, but give you the hole story later.

I'm a bit biased but those 997.2 are aging very well.

What kind of wheels are you running? Any side shots?

Re: Dave and Gnil @ Nürburgring Nordschleife

I agree, I find also the 997.2 to age pretty well . I am still happy with mine as my all year around DD .

I have these OZ forged rims . They are super light . Made quite a difference in handling .

Thanks, I'll look into them. Searching some extra rims for my winter tires. I use mine as a winter DD, handles bad weather better than my X5. kiss

Re: Dave and Gnil @ Nürburgring Nordschleife

I made my original summer rims my winter rims . These OZ are pretty expensive as they are the forged ones , but also the lightest available . I would not make them winter rims . You should be able to find a pair at a good price on the second hand market . Deprecation is huge as people have a very hard time selling rims on second hand .

Agree the 997 is the best looking car in that line-up... 991's are not the prettiest cars if you seem them side to side to a 997. angry
