Visit in Germany

Hi guys,
I'm flying next month to Germany..
I'm doing a driving course at Porsche-driving school in Baden and will stay to travel after for a few days..

Can you please recommend some places to visit?
I will visit Stuttgart for Mercedes' new museum and will be very thankful for other places to visit

We will rent a car (trying to get Sixt to promise a 650i), so distance up to 300-400km is ok

I'm trying to arrange a visit in Audi factory through my dealer - hope that will work out

Sounds like a great time!

I LOVE Berlin and Stuttgart ; and Munich is very, very nice-- so is the Rheinland. I think Germany rocks!

Definitively! If you are in Stuttgart I would strongly recommend a complementary visit to Munich. Munich is not too far from Stuttgart and very enjoyable

If you like good food you might consider a stop-over in Baiersbronn (ca. 1h from Stuttgart). Baiersbronn is a small (and nicely located) village in the Black Forst with at least three excellent restaurants. The most famoust is called "Schwarzwaldstube" located in a Hotel called "Traube Tonbach".

You might do Stuttgart (Porsche, MB) the first day, book a table and a room in Baiersbronn and then visit Munich (ca. 3h from Baiersbronn) the next one or two days

I'm also going to be right near Stuttgart this summer for a week and a half. I'll post a bigger thread later with some questions on stuff to do, etc., but I was told by one of my friends who lived in Germany, that the BMW Museum is in Munich too, and that would be a very cool place to visit.

The Autostadt in Wolfsburg could be also interesting.

Oh the car thing is ok

but by all means visit Baden-Württemberg just for the food.

Nowhere in Germany will you find as many starred restaurants.57 Michelin stars in 52 top restaurants - more than in any other German state and almost a quarter of the stars for Germany as a whole.

Germany's best cook, Harald Wohlfahrt of the Traube Tonbach in Baiersbronn and the Akademie für Kulinaristk are in Baden-Württemberg.

Also the Gault Millau gourmet guide awarded the highest scores to the largest number of restaurants in Baden-Württemberg.

Drive fast and eat well!

Hi Discover

If you are talking about the Porsche Precision Training on 28/29 April in Baden-Baden I'll meet you on the track

I'll arrive at the Hotel (the one recommended by Porsche - I don't have access to the booking documents right now, hence I don't have the name of the hotel) at Friday late afternoon.
Also, as Tuesday 1st May is a public holiday I'll go for a two day spin (Monday/Tuesday) in the region (Black Forrest).
So if it fits your schedule I'd be happy to serve as your tour guide for a nice driving tour Mon/Tue (if you'd postpone the museum visits to Wed/Thu). The restaurants recommended in this thread are very nice, but I guess you have to make a reservation right now, as we have the prolonged weekend Mon/Tue.
Just let me know if I can be of help

I'm not sure which date i have for free and which aren't because my father is going to business and i'm just sneaking in..
So i'll guess i will talk with you there and we'll see
