We do know from the US Panorama magazine that the facelifted 997 Carrera will get PDK. It would appear extremely improbable that Panorama would print something like this inaccurately.
I would therefore assume that PDK on the 997TT will be rolled out at the same time as when the facelifted 997 Carrera is available. It would otherwise be absurd that PDK was available on a 997C2 but not on a 997TT...
That begs only one question then: when is the facelfted Carrera coming out? IMHO there are 3 possibilities:
1) MY2008 (i.e. Aug 2007) or
2) MY2009 (i.e. Aug 2008) or
3) earlier MY2009 (i.e. MY2009 but not as late as Aug 2008).

So according to your dealer it seems as that the very first predictions of MY08 were spot on.

Of course they were. They were only denied by current 997 owners, who have a vested interest in delaying the intro of the facelift. The calendar just makes sense, it's a repeat of the 996 calendar.

I wonder also if the position of the paddles rotates as one turns the wheel. It would be really annoying if the paddles stayed in the same position even though the wheel had been turned 90 degrees...

The final "fact" he told me was that the GT2 WILL HAVE 530hp and it will come with PSM not only TC like GT3.

Does one change gears often when wheel is turned at such an angle?

I wonder if the paddles are going to be attached to the steering wheel like the M5 or not mobile like the Gallardo... I prefer not mobile... I drove an M5 and I dont like when the paddles move with the steering wheel, very awkward.

I hope the PDK goes with the "German" solution over the "Italian". Of course, it would be nice for everyone to
have the choice...

With that suggestion, Porsche will earn another fortune!
Customer: "I want that new PDK thing"
Dealer: "No problem. 6500 Euro in total. Do you want paddles?"
Customer: "Er, yes I think that would be nice, aren't they included?"
Dealer: "Sorry no, but doesn't cost that much, 1500 for the fixed ones at the steering column then?"
Customer: "Gosh, I never wanted this Maser crap again, I want rotating paddles!"
Dealer: "No problem, Italian crap, you're right, PDK with GRP (German Rotating Paddles) then, that's another 2500. Anything else?"
