    2nd Gallardo with the same problem like mine

    Yeah it is really weird. I ve heard some(very rare) Gallardo changed engine due to failure. But this is the second Gallardo that will have the same problem with mine.

    Same Noise, Same Problem.

    It is %100 same problem.

    After the issue, first i called techs from Prague to check whats going on the car .When they said it need an engine swap then i send the car to Milano.(Again Thanks to Dimitri for arrangements)

    I was cruising in city without going fast or high rpm, just cruising, suddenly i heard a knocking noise from engine and engine sound become like this. Without any CEL issue or warning light.

    Second Gallardo and same issue....

    VGA18, you posted your car's VIN (vehicle identification number). I wouldn't do that on the internet if I were you. Just a bit of friendly advice...

    also in italy there were 2 recent engine failures on 2 gallardo.this is not good for the brand reputation...

    There is definitive problem with crank shaft design(or bad quality control at Lambo factory) with this 5.0 V10.

    Do not forget that this problems always are showing up after some km's(say at least 2500km's) so, Lambo are claiming that some costumers simply mis-treated their engines and killed them.
    I do not belive that is the case(well, maybe some owners indeed killed the engine)...

    Did the old Audi 2.5L 5 cylinder engines have similar problems?
    The Gallardo's engine is 2 of these old Audi engines put together.

    Andrea, Last week when i was at milano Service , there is a Gallardo(orange) engine was out. I think it has also an engine problem.

    The car that i posted looks like new. how can it be treated bad.(slighltly less chance) My car is at 18k km since this problem occured. I do not agree for accusing customers bad driving the car. These cars are for high rpm drive and high speeds. I mean these cars are made for up limits. But i do not also accuse the brand for this because this type of engines works in high conditions.
    I mean just example the 100m athletes has a higher risk of heart attack.

    What i complain is you pay much for these cars, and they reject a goodwill warranty for new engine...

    The strange thing is that(same thing on my car also), the car can be driven, can go, no warning lights but noise comes from engine.Also some pinking you feel on the steering due to rpm. Very strange.

    I havent heard anything about this. Is this real i mean for 2.5L x2 engine =5.0L v10

    Dimitri, you'd be amazed at the resourcefulness of car thieves in the UK. If they get your VIN, they can fish around dealers, the manufacturer etc for your details with the aim of ordering a replacement V5C Registration document from the UK DVLA. Car-related fraud is rife in the UK....

    wow..they dont lack imagination... but if they spot one the street , they easily get the vin , its clear under the windscreen
