Just some humour that occured along the way. We were driving on an uphill where a group of cyclists were training and they had a safety car behind them and all.
The safety car doesn't make any room for the other cars and they simply have to overtake him and the cyclists.
He moved immediately out the way off the road when he heard the Murci downshift
The one cyclist then turns around and immediately alerts his partners and they whip out the cellphones while looking backwards going up a steep uphill trying to take in a few pics before we overtake.

mike, isn't it dangerous driving these exotics in SA. aren't you afraid of being a victim of a pre-planned target?
Not if you live in a gated community away from urban cities.
Thats actually a good question. I had heard SA is one of the worst in the world for car jackings

Been there, done that... A couple years ago 6 heavily armed black males broke into my home while my whole family was there. Tied us all up and they almost beat my father to death, he is fully recovered now thank goodness.
Was a traumatising event, but I'm not going to let people like that put a cap on how I should live my life!

That is true - there are about 1-2 hijackings on the road I use to goto work everyday. You just need to be precautious and try not to stop.
Also they are less likely to hijack high-end vehicles as there is no market for them. They all hijack VW Golf's most of the time.

My South African friend who now lives here says the same thing. He is worried about his BMW 3 series driving wife, but was never too worried about his Ferrari for this reason.
