GT3 Real-World Street Driving Issues
The GT3 review in EXCELLENCE magazine brings up at least two issues for real-world street driving: 1) ground clearance and 2) wet roads.
1) EXCELLENCE says that because of its low ride height and front spoiler the GT3 has trouble with driveways and one would assume with speedbumps too. For those of us who will drive the GT3 exclusively on the street, what are remedies for this? Can the front spoiler be removed? Is there an OEM or aftermarket skid plate that replace the front spoiler?
2) EXCELLENCE says that the Cup tires on the GT3 make driving in the rain iffy. They say the car may have the tendency to hydroplane. Where I live it rains a lot. I will be driving frequently in rain--sometimes very heavy rain. Can different tires be ordered on the new car from the factory? If so, which should be specified for wet driving? Or do you think EXCELLENCE is overstating the problem the GT3 has on wet roads?
Thanks much. GT3 order on the way ....
