    Re: Ferrari Portofino

    Gnil:

It looks much much better then the Cali T . Never liked the Cali, but this one looks good .

As to being quicker then a GT3 , only maybe in straight line . Track or country roads, no way .

Not only that but I also assume that GT3 would be more fun to drive at the track and country roads than the turbocharged 2+2 Ferrari too. I don't see it as a good comparison, they are different cars with different purposes.

Completely different cars . Don't why it was even mentioned together Smiley The Ferrari is a GT , heavy and probably aimed at confort . Should be compared to a convertible Panamera Smiley

    Re: Ferrari Portofino

If by GT we mean a performance and luxury automobile capable of high speed and long-distance driving, the Porsche Panamera is the superior car in this remit.

A lighter front engine V8 Ferrari with a fixed roof and roomier rear compartment would be a nice proposition. And a soft top version for those who like open air motoring.

Vario roof models are supposed to offer the best of both worlds but they are ideal at none.

At 200k+ I wouldn't be thinking of any Porsche cars, let alone a Panamera Smiley

The answer to your 2nd paragraph with a choice of V8-T or V12 + AWD, but not lighter.

    Re: Ferrari Portofino

The mere fact that the Portofino is in the same phrase as the GT3 is telling a lot. Anyhow, put the roof down and you will forget that the Portofino won't handle as well as the GT3. Where is the GT3 convertible with rear seats and a usable trunk again?

no, but to the turboS cabrio

    Re: Ferrari Portofino

I would def consider this to replace my TTS cab. No comparison with a GT3

The portofino looks very good, has 600hp, it is a Ferrari, and they say that it should be very sporty to drive compared to the cali.....so long it is just super....
