    Jeremy Clarkson: "Top Gear won't be back"

    World famous British automotive TV show Top Gear might be no more. Presenter Jeremy Clarkson said in the U.K.'s Sun newspaper this weekend the program won't be returning.
    At the end of the last episode of the season, Clarkson closed saying: "We don't know when we'll be back." The BBC claims Top Gear will be back for a summer special, and will start a new season in the fall.
    "After last week's Top Gear, the TV announcer said it would be back in the summer," Clarkson wrote. "Can I just say, it won't be."
    Mr. Clarkson, and co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond are rumored to be in rows with producers over the future of the show. The show's management purportedly wants more celebrity appearances and less focus on cars.

    For me, a real pitty.

    In the end I liked how Mr. Jeremy tetested the cars, giving his radical opinion and making tests a show.

    Really a pitty if "Top Gear" does not come back, and with its original "stars".

    Maybe at the end they will finally say how many drivers they have used as "the stig"

    It's a pitty they were pretty entertaining...

    I hope that's not the truth. Although TopGear may not be the most objective car show, it is always fun to watch.

    I'm sure the presenters have all the bargaining power, since without the 'holy trinity', Top Gear is D-E-A-D. And by the looks of it, Top Gear is as popular as ever, so cancelling the show would be a real blow to the BBC.

    I hope it is not the case. Ever since I got hooked on the show several years ago, it has been a battle to get it! Via internet only in the US. I really do love that show! Ironically, the celebs are the part I like least of the show! They better bring it back!

    Less focus on cars? In the last episode they only reviewed one car... I thought that they might stop the show because all of these parts where they destroy cars, build roads... etc stuff.
    So Top Gear won't be back, but maybe Top Celebrity? - because of the "more celebrity appearances".

    Typically, whenever you have a public disagreement of this nature it is a negotiation tactic. I suspect they will find a way to resolve their differences. The prime motivator is as always money.
