a taste of supercars
Just went back from a supercar test drive near Paris.
4 laps to choose from 997 turbo, Gallardo, F430 and Viper.
I picked the Lambo but I was told a few days before than it broke... so i went on for the Viper. I'm not a fan of both the 997 and F430 fan and i already had a memorable ride in a 993 turbo a while ago. That's why i went for the muscle car.
Anyway when we arrived on a beautiful morning, the F430 appeared to be a challenge version, brand new. too bad
Well after the ride in the Viper i understand why nobody cared buying it, this car is so impracticable. Nevertheless it was easy to drive around the circuit, nice push from low revs and good front end grip if i used any. The gearbox proved a bit harsh, closer to my 88' Range Rover than anything else. Still i have no other excuses from putting second gear out of a fast opening corner instead of fourth...
There were also a 996 Cup and a 997 GT3 for passenger lap, from all the cars the 997 was the most impressive IMO, really nice sound and awesome traction out of bends.
It all proved fun and i can't wait for more !
