Alright, nothing more than I heard. I guess we have to wait a little bit longer, but mid 2008 is not that long away...

I just hope they don't increase the displacement by too much, it has lost that frisky sound as it, one more generation of this and everybody will forget how it was...
Hope it's body is not bigger also... what would be the point of that.

Janus, you are absolutely right in both points.
However how can Ferrari cope with the ever increasing powernumbers if not by increasing the displacement? And I don't see a turbo on the horizon.
And I also hope the cars won't become bigger, in fact they should become a little bit smaller. 599 and even 430 are rather huge cars in every dimension.

My initial iformation was 550hp. However, because of the Gallardo, Porsche (TTS) and other possible competitors it appears Ferrari will have to kick up the hp. This is important because the replacement will be a five year model run.

That's right, the successor will be the first half of the model cycle, which means it will have to last longer than the second, facelifted model. Let's only hope they'll get the design right and that the car won't become too big.

I don't believe we will already see a turbo in the next generation V8, perhaps later, but not in the 430-successor.
