    It's offficial!

    I love this car!

    OK, I am not really a luxury kind of guy. I live a pretty normal lifestyle. And because of this "normalcy", I had a lot of anxiety about spending so much on a "car" during my 4 month wait period.

    When I first spotted my car, it was love at first sight. I have only driven about 350 miles in a one week period. I have let 4 others have the privalage of driving it as well. But it sure is sweet. The car is awesome. I love it more every time I drive it. I love cleaning it.

    Did I say I love this car?

    We presently have 4 vehicles in a 2 driver household. I am still thinking of keeping her for non-rain days, but I don't know anymore. I may sell at least 2 cars, so can keep her as my daily driver.

    Gotta figure this one out... more to come after I break her in. Did say I love this car?

    It's Porschormonal. Goes away after several wild months. Mine's sitting in a garage with battery maintainer. It's somewhat dirty, rain-driven, out-of-mind, but not forgotten.

    One thing stays the same though, when you start it up and drive it all the "love" comes back; good thing the car can't talk back and whine about how much I'm always neglecting her..., uhh..., I mean..., it.

    The only cure for the stage or Porsheromance I'm in now is to order a new one; this time a Turbo.

    Congratulations. I am almost in the same situation you are, except I am old (58 when I took delivery of my new 911S last year). Unless you have some sort of family commitment for your funds, like putting a child through college, then I say you made the right move. The car is worth it!!!!!!!!

    After over a year of driving it, I still get goose bumps running it through some very tight and winding turns at higher speeds. IMHO, Porsche 911's, and all Porsche's for that matter, are nothing short of phenomenal. You've got leading edge automotive engineering in a car that you can drive every day of the week without needing to have your own personal mechanic!

    That's the beauty of the P-car.....they make perfect daily drivers. I say drive it as much as you can.
