Btw: Saw a black Bentayga at my hotel here in Las Vegas. I just cannot get used to this car but people seem to love it (probably because they know how much it costs LOL),
The Bentayga looks pretty poor .. just like the Cayenne till the last generation. However, it is definitely the best combination of power/performance/ luxury/ technology on the market today. Its still no match for a Cayenne Turbo S in a corner but far superior in every other way. I am really surprised how much I like my First Edition.
on the contrary, I felt the Bentayga only win on the most expensive department, I drove one and I hated it when I compared it with my Cayenne Turbo S.
I felt it only win 1% of the battle against the Cayenne Turbo S.
Hell even the badge Bentley loses out to Porsche.
The interior felt cheap, almost felt like Bentley tried too hard and made their material felt second rated. acceleration the Cayenne wins hands down, there is no 'against the seat back moment' when I test drove the Bentayga. Cornering as you said the Bentayga is pretty poor, almost felt like a Lincoln Navigator. Fit and finish are about on par with Cayenne, and this is suppose to be Bentley's big win over the Cayenne. Exterior, hmm, serious, no comment for the Bentley. Buyers, hmm, here where I live, only the new money from corruption-enriched Mainland Chinese buys them, which means the father may not even get to drive it as he might be inline for an execution from corruption before the car arrives.
And no, I am not biased. I drove a Bentley Continental before and the Bentayga just doesn't have the composure of the Continental.
But yeah sorry, for the price premium Bentley charged for the same car as the Cayenne, it is a big fail. For that much premium, I would expect the difference between a Hyundai Sonata and a Rolls Royce Ghost. And coming from Bentley, I would also expect the car to be PERFECT.
