    TURBO CABRIO Winter Testing , new pictures

    Text that goes along with pictures from Dutch person who was in Sweden (holiday?):
    "Cool , we were about 400km from Gothenburg driving behind a long row of Porsches.And when I looked closer 2 where Turbo Cabrios. We saw them again on the boat from Sweden to Germany and I approached one of the drivers. They just came back from Lapland for winter testing."

    What is very clear is that the new lights are not on the Turbo Cabrio so I suspect that either the facelift is not yet coming or that the Turbo will keep the 'old' lights.

    old and new lights , different yes , but both are good looking.

    Thanks for the pics! I tend to like the shape of the old tail-lights better than the new ones... The old ones with led would be better, but I assume that we will get used to the new shape when the final product is ready. LED is however amazing.

    Yes , correct , you can clearly see the new design.
    So new style rear light for basic 997 , 'old' style for Turbo and maybe also for GT3

    I would not be surprised to see completely different front/rear fascias on the TT Cab.....LED's and all. Just wait and see.

    I can't really believe that they'll bring the nearly tho whole Carrera range with the new lights and top models have to do without for another year or so.

    let's wait and see is my mantra too

    But I highly doubt what you are saying. It looks like either the facelift is for MY09 or that the back for turbo will stay the same a la E46 M3 versus 3 series facelift.

    Would you believe that they would bring out new red rear lights available from March as an option knowing these would be obsolete within 4 months ? Still they did this.
    Time will tell for sure
