    Some small mods to my Lotus ;)

    Did some minor DIY modding on my Lotus yesterday. My arms, back and legs are aching today

    Anyways, here are some pics.

    CF Shift Knob




    Now the next mod. I always thought the stock lights on the Lotus was a bit crap, so I bought these aftermarket ones instead.

    Mike, I am interested to know what lights those are. It's amazing, and looks so much better than the factory stuff!

    Btw, is yours an Exige or Exige S? I went into Lotus for the first time in my life yesterday to check out an Exige. Found out that the air intake in the roof is fake, which is really dissapointing. However, it's real in the Exige S! How are you finding the Lotus? Any problems? Would you recommend it to a fellow board member? I am seriously thinking of getting the Exige as a track/weekend car, and ML63 for day to day use. It almost look like I am trying to copy (a small part) of your fleet! Btw, any good Lotus board to go to?

    I beat Mike S on that one. I have 4 bicycles, a skate board and an Aprilia scooter!!! Oh and I also have a Canon 30D like him but his pics of late looks much better than mine.

    It is an Exige S So the roof scoop is functional. Had 0 problems with the car so far, highly recommend it if you're going to use it as a weekend toy!

    Yes, did I not tell you guys I was an avid skateboarder LOL just kidding, those are my cousins kids stuff. Always forget to take it when ever they are over.

    I had lots of trial and errors with my 30D - it helps

    Mike, I would be very interested to hear how you think the Exige S compares to the Noble. Also I am not sure if you ever ever posted a review of the Exige S. Can't seem to find it. My biggest concern with it is the top end speed as some of the tracks I frequent has long straights which suits cars like my 997 better as it has higher top speed. The Lotus seems to top out at 230kmh?

    You can also have the center console in carbon. My brother ordered it in the US, if you are interested I could find out where he got it.

    Hi Way,

    yes, the lotus does not have a very high top speed. It gets to 200kmh pretty quickly and then slows down with acceleration. Tops out at around 240+- - there's only a handful of tracks you will reach those speeds anyways, so it doesn't really concern me

    Nah, I just have Bilstein (sp?) on my car.

    Yes...very nice, having crap lights are one of the (IMO) most annyoing things a car can have..they impede your progress (at least at night) more than anything else..

    Hey Mike,

    What color temperature did you choose for the Exige?
    Im considering doing the same on my Elise, was thinking going with 4k or 4.3k as it puts out the highest amount of lumens I guess (yet loses that cool blueish hue)

    The new Xenon headlamps look great!! IMHO, They look Millions times better than normal!

    It's slighty more blue than standard Xenons but definately better than stock!
