Hi Adam,
You have such a beautiful V12 Vantage ! I have just stumbled across this thread and am deciding on one too.
However, I've never driven a Vantage ! Thus far I have been a Porsche only guy.
I like the fact that you too have a GT4, just like me. So, I was wondering what you think of the Vantage.
I absolutely love everything I hear about it on all the reviews, but what is it like to drive ?
Being a Porsche guy ( 997.2 GT3, GT4, R ) , what advice could you share?

I would also be very interested as I am thinking that when I will replace my Carrera S daily driver , I will seriously look into a V12 Vantage ( 2nd hand ) . I hope it would make a very enjoyable DD . Only small worry is behavior on snow ( I don't need much capacity , only a few days a year )
And would the manual box be the better choice ?

If you're thinking of manual or auto, I suppose you're considering the V12 S? The regular V12 only came as a manual if I'm not mistaken.

Actually I won't see the actual car until Sept. Leaving for a 2 weeks holiday to Florida tomorrow and the car is from out of state.
Was gonna buy one of these 7-speed back in Nov, for some reason I backed off the deal. Good thing, as I found out the dealer in the next province is stuck with 5 of these right now and worked out a deal, got 10% off MSRP.
Finally gonna have my first Aston. That 10+ year old Vantage body is IMO the best looking sports car ever. It doesn't have a bad angle to it. Last of the NA V12 from Aston too.

That design does look great, very elegant while sporty, and time doesn't seem to fade it either. Congrats!

Though I would have chosen a "more British" exterior colour, black suits this car very well.

Mine is Merlot red with sand interior. I have never seen this combo on another Aston but it is stunning. That plus that fact that it was fully loaded and has factory Bluetooth and power upgrade and a loud Laraine exhaust makes it an irreplaceable car.

How is the reliability after so many years? Any issues mechanically or otherwise?

Only two issues:
- a clutch plate replaced under warranty after two years (a bad batch of parts apparently)
- a leaking shock after 7 years (wasn't very expensive to fix)
and that's it besides a couple of rattles that are now under control. Maybe I have been lucky but this has been the most reliable car I have ever owned, Porsches being the second least reliable only marginally better than Ferrari (well Porsche have more issues but Ferrari ones are always expensive to fix).

This black one is also a 7 speed dogleg 
Aston only imported 24 of the 7-speed to Canada, it even has a plaque on the sill saying 1 of 24!
In effect, it is actually more rare than the 911R, Porsche imported 26 of those.
