OK, look i fully understnad the market is narrow, and probably no dealer has on on the lot for long, but it is possible...
i got my M3 at MSRP when the dealer was charging 10K over sticker and I got my 997 when they first came when dealers were telling me you can't get one...
what I am asking here is not a generic availabilty question.. I am trying to see if anyone heard of a car returned to a dealer, a customer cancellation, or if there is a used tester somewhere...
That the kind of opportunities I am asking about... and where better to ask than here??
For example, i know a guy here locally bought 2 of them 2 see which colr he prefers and thinks of returning one... but he might keep them both... that's what I mean

If you MUST have a new untitled car, mabye there are a few dealers out there holding on to a single car hoping to gouge someone for 6 figures over msrp.
The probability of buying a new RS at MSRP now without having ordered LONG ago is basically zero.
Dealers may not be very good at knowing their product or at customer service, their number 1 priority is making money, and they KNOW this car is in demand and supply is short.
Hell, even some people with orders got screwed over when the dealers realized how hot this car was.
You can try ebay or a car broker, be prepared to pay at LEAST 5-10-20~k over msrp especially at this point when the first cars are JUST hitting the ground in the USA.

listen adam. there is a large amount of people on these forums in your position. there are also a lot of people still on dealers' waiting lists hoping for an 08 car or a return/cancellation. don't see a clever way to jump that queue.

Dealers are scrambling for cars trying to meet the demands of deposits they have had for several months, offering anything up for trade. They have even started to offer the long term customer they have sold several cars to over the past 20 years to any other dealer willing to sell a car within $25k of MSRP. Most likely, you won't be able to find one that hasn't been titled--if you can, more power to you and congratulations.
Keep in mind that there are just over 200 dealers in the US, and the numbers being thrown around are around 230 GT3RS's--not every dealer is going to be getting one, but it isn't THAT many phone calls to make if you are that interseted (should only take a couple of days, as many of the calls can be ended if the dealer tells you they have 3 or 4 deposits).

Your low volume dealers got 0, most dealers will receive 1-2 and your high volume dealers will receive 3-4. Every dealer has a waiting line for the "next in line slot" if the depositer backs out (not likely). Your best bet is to contact your high volume dealers and see if they have ordered a RS to be sold at the "market rate". Keep in mind that MSRP is $140k, and with the current demand the market value mark up will be $40-50K. If PCNA announces a RS for 2008, then the demand for '07's will decrease. But if '08's will not be made, then the mark up will be even higher. I would contact the DOT and find out the cost to import one. Many are available in europe already, but the poor dollar puts these already at $180k.

Adam S, you are in LA so you should be familar with Mckenna porsche. They have an RS available, not sure the color. Ask for a guy named Tim, fleet manager. Asking 50K above MRSP. I chuckled when he told me but there is one in SoCal available if you want it.
