    Problem in Porsche Turbo Factory Department ?!

    Has Anyone heard that there was a fire in a Porsche Factory department which was producing 997 turbos..?? There is such a rumor here in Greece and for this reason I heard that all new cars will have 2-3 months delay..?!

    Any more info?!

    Do they always have to follow Maranello in Zuffenhausen?

    (speaking abouth the fire in the Ferrari factory shortly before the F430 was launched)

    Lol not I have my car from a big Dealer (not from Porsche this time) here in Greece with 0 kms
    But I heard that Porsche here in Greece has a 2-3 months delay for this issue..

    I did an extensive search, nothing about a fire came up anywhere, even in local Stuttgart news. FYI

    I'm afraid your dealer is just making something up because he sold your allocation to someone else for a big fat markup. New car salesmen are just a step above used car salesmen, in other words not very high on the credibility pole.

    Mine TT has a completion date of March 23rd. I hope this is a joke? Aren't turbos produced on the same assembly line as other 911's, boxters, etc? There is no turbo section? A fire will effect all Porsches going down that assembly line. Highly unlikely rumor (I hope)?

    well that's too bad my friend...but I'm wondering you know, it's a problem I have , have you actually checked that info??? did you call Sportscar to verify it??? because it kind of reminds me some of the excuses I have to tell my clients when I can't deliver right on schedule it's typical down here and you know it
