    Done 1600 km, taking it easy during break-in. Tomorrow to the workshop for the first check-up..

    Nice Keyring!...very clean car, must admit I like the silver a lot, is that artic silver or GT silver?

    Thanks Chris! Well spotted re the keyring, it's a miniature Falcon cap. The colour of the car is Arctic Silver.

    How would you say the room is in the back for the kids? I also have two kids and am about to order a 997tt. BTW beautiful car!!! I'm having trouble deciding on a color and you may have just swayed me to GT silver.

    It's a gorgeous car, but I cannoit get used to the 997 steering wheel, it looks so cheap with the plastic. Porsche should have sticked to the 996 full leather design.

    Beautiful car! Quick question, did you get the thicker steering wheel option? It looks like it might be (for the sport wheel). You have good taste.

    Hi Gradyex, indeed, I opted for the thicker steering wheel, am happy with the choice, very nice grip.

    CR911, there's enough leg space in the back without moving the seats forward (I'm 1.77 m). The kids ( 3 and 5 years old) love it, "Dad, can we go in the race car again?"

    mprins, thanks for info. my kids are 3(girl) and 5(boy) as well and are looking forward to the new turbo. my wife is not so sure there will be room for them, but i'll show her your photo and there will be no doubt. it seems we are about the same height. the girls are beautiful! thanks again.

    Porsche is best in silver..silver is traditional...best color for resale. Colors like cobalt are novel but get dated quickly and won't last year to year.

    I resent that remark. I think Cobalt Blue is a timeless color that will continue to impress in the years to come. My classic M5 was a beautiful shade of blue and to this day, it still remains stunning. Don't get me wrong, I still like silver but to me, Cobalt blue will stand out in the years yet to come moreso.

    Hm, I think silver is a safe choice, it emphasizes the body lines and acts as a contrast for air vents, etc. The opposite applies for black, it flattes the body lines and hides the air vents, etc.

    Cobalt Blue is definitely a timeless color. Another favourite of mine is Iris Blue, just stunning:

    As an aside, I don't recommend posting pictures of your kids online, there are just too many weird people out there in cyberspace. I did it once and received some strange emails, I took the pics down immediately. Very sad but a reality in todays world.
