    If my memory is not mistaken me , V8EDF license plate dark blue F430 is the same car that EVO tested in Supercar of the 2005 challenge.

    Just watch the programme after downloading it. Probably the best review of the 997 Turbo I have ever seen! And TC loved it!

    I have put together a copy of the road test from today's Top Gear. The file has been compressed down to 13 MB and is viewed at 312x176 - I will replace it with a higher quality larger file in a week or so. I do this to control bandwidth which will likely be about 10-20GB tonight just for this one file based on past 'wanted' vids.

    The Top Gear video appears on my 911 video page along with recent clips that I put together from Motorweek featuring the 997TT, 996TT and 996 GT2.

    hey coochas,

    thank for the vid.....didn't stig take it around the track ?
    the review is not really expressive. with ferraris its always best this best that....in the Porsche he merely admits its good. Why cant he just dmit how goodit realy is ?

    What an excellent show last night. I thought the night time filming of the 997TT was really great.

    Unfortunately, the 997TT didn't get to go round the Top Gear test track. Crazy. They do that for every other car but not for this one.

    Instead, they spent time reviewing the Brabus SLV12 and testing that round the track.

    I really, really enjoyed the crazy project to build a Reliant Robin orbiter!

    This series of Top Gear has been inspired so far especially the US road trip. That was hilariously funny.

    Thought the review was awful... merely admitted the car was decent but still had no passion (how disrespectful is that to Porsche engineers?!?!)

    Also- that Brabus pile of crap was given more time AND a lap of the track even though it was "rubbish"... why not give a decent car like the Turbo more exposure time and a lap then?!?

    My gut feeling is that the Turbo didn't get a lap because it would have raped the F430 and Gallardo and that would have been too hard for Clarkson to swallow...

    His excuses for dismissing 911's are becoming unbelievably weak. Saying the GT3 RS was a rubbish car because it has "scaffolding" in the back... dear me!!

    That was really good of you - thanks.

    As for the review, it certainly wasn't what I had expected. What's the deal with filming at night?? Anyway, it must have been difficult for JC to finally admit how good the tt really is.

    IMO, we should respect his preference for the 430.

    Unfortunately No. I get the whole episode via Bit Torrent, slice and dice it, then compress compress compress. I have to compress these 'hotter' files significantly to keep my bandwidth down,...just this one video has generated about 20 GB of download activity in 24 hours!

    LOL... I know that there are several manufacturers who only provide cars on the condition they are not tested on the track (Bugatti and Ferrari with the Enzo) but I can't imagine porsche having the same stip.
