    Nice!!!!! In harbour of Monaco

    How do you tell that is an RS on those pictures?

    What if it is a stock 997 GT3 with RS wing option?

    I know RS is 44mm wider, but can you tell on pictures?

    Just out of curiosity

    Its one of the best sportscar I have ever seen !!!!!

    Mike!!, its an RS because of the little yellow stripe in the steering wheel, ala rally car!!!!

    997 gt3's (non RS) are not equipped with this little feature in the steering wheel!! , but then again, if this guy had a basic gt3, and pre-installed the rear carbon fiber wing, why not go all the way, and do the steering wheEL !!!

    Its an RS because you can see its wider than normal, and because of the yellow stripe in the steering wheel !!!!

    you can see perfectly this is wider.also yellow stripe on steering wheel

    Also for those that are not 100% sure , I did my homework, and camed to my mind about the different front plastic lip that basic gt3 has vs the RS.

    In the RS that black plastic front lip comes in the center (as seen in the pic of the blac gt3rs and my pic) with a sort of outcoming piece of plastic, that basic gt3's are not equipped with, as seen in the comparo pic I attached !!!

    now I can go and have breakfast with a smile !!!

    Sorry Alex...I wouldn't want to 'pi$$ on your chips' so to speak, or anything
    but GT3's are available with the extra-plastic lip as standard on the RS and some dealerships even fit the plastic lip as standard/accident as some other renn-teamers will testify.....
    I guess the yellow 'tape' is a better solution but thats pretty easy to fake also...anyone else?

    btw..i hope breakfast was nice!

    Jezzzzz. car looks so much better this way. The orange wheels and stripes belong much more to tuned Civic than a car like this, it reveals good taste from its owner

    ive never been to Monaco, but im guessing its a norm to have your 72 ft yacht tow your exotic there from the mainland? can you drive with normal plates or do you have to have Monaco plates?

    Just goes to show you, that while I would not kick that RS out of bed, black hides the aggressive details of the car. I think the 997 GT3 and RS look best in brighter colors for this reason.

    Basically Other than the wideness (which you can't see from side profile photos) there is no real definative way to tell a normal Gt3 from a RS?

    The reason you can be sure this is 100% an RS is this part. The bumper portrudes from the body and rearlight.
    This is only so on the wide body.

    An understatement car is mostly nice, but in this case, with such a big boothspoiler you can hardly speek of understatement... for the RS i find the, e.g orange, striping on a black car , part of the show.
    The RS is a beast and trying to disguise that is not neccesary.
    In that case i would go for the normal GT3, while in a black colour you hardly notice the widebody anyway.

    JFT, Your car is what a black RS should look like, the stripes emphasize the specific looks of the RS.
    An RS you buy because it looks special, and not for 1 tenth of a second Quicker accelaration...

    The wider hips are pretty obvious in the first shot, but on any other angle, and especially on a moving vehicle, it would be very very hard to tell.

    I can understand wanting to have a GT3RS without all the flash and the cheesy logo, but I can also understand wanting to have the car distinguished in some way from a regular GT3.

    Maybe if the GT3 RS had racing seats and a roll cage, a lightweight rear window, a single mass flywheel . . .

    Look at the lower part of the car on the side.. The large body has the black plastic, the narrow body does not !
    This is an RS.... but now it looks like a plain GT3, wrong color and specialy a big mistake to take the decls of on such a car. The GT3 RS is all about sports, not about being a car to take to the opera

    At my dealer there is a white RS without all the decals..again, a big mistake. It makes it look like a standart GT3
