    Gurgling Sound From Dash/007 Carrera S

    I have a 2005 997 Carrera S. recently I've noticed a gurgling sound coming from the dash area in front of passenger seat. Almost sounds like a coffe pot purcolating. I'd assume it has something to do with the A/C or perhaps the radiator colling/circulation.

    Anyone had this problem? Comments would be appreciated.

    Yes. I've noticed this too. I noticed it first in the late fall, on days when humidity was high and worried that the A/C condensation was not exiting the cabin. However, winter came and the sound went away. Apparently, it wasn't really a problem since nothing ever got wet, and the cabin still smells good as new.

    hmmmm.... does the sound occur at certain speeds? is it intermittent? or constant the moment you start it?

    The only thing I can think of (purely a guess) is to run the heat on high, full blast, and maybe that will drive the air out of the part of the heating system that is behind the dash.

    Not sure if the same theory is as workable with the fluid in the AC. But can't hurt to try.

    IF gurgling DOES go away, check your coolant level (WHEN COLD) to make sure there's enough in there. Use _ONLY_ Porsche stuff if you need to add coolant.

    Yea, probably the A/C. If it's blowing OK then don't worry about it.

    more details as to when noise happens, etc. I have '06 997 C4S Cab. with funny noise in dash area at times. See previous post... tks

    Maybe it's an integrated coffee maker upgrade to the cup holders!

    Haven't heard anything like it in mine, pop it into an OPC and they'll sort. I noticed that my local OPC offer an air con cleaning service to get rid of odours, excess vapour etc. Maybe having this done could solve the problem.

    In my case, it was when I would turn a corner...mainly turning left. And the sound was like that of water in a babling brook. If I could immaging a trough behind the dash collecting the condensation, and an outlet for that condensation only at the right hand side of the car, then it would make sense.
