This one will come in handy for some of your future arguments :
Equally so for any more RC threads about his neighbors....
Be happy that you don't have to deal with this stuff but I have friends in London/Canada and they tell me that it isn't much different there.

I have my R8 for over a year now and not even fantasizing about a replacement. This is huuuge.
Only car I would replace it with is a Huracan Performante or the upcoming Aventador SV but since I cannot afford getting any of these, I think I'm good...for the next three years.

EnglishManInNY:RC is this the longest you have kept your fun car?
No, I had a 997 Turbo RUF 550 I kept for 5 years. Also, I have the 991.1 C4 GTS Cab for over two years now. I cannot see myself replacing the R8 with any car right now, the V10 engine and the whole package is just perfect for me.
I'm in Italy right now and two police(!) officers stopped me to look at the car (and the car documents) and when I wanted to leave they stopped the traffic on one side of the road and asked me to fully accelerate, so they can hear the sound. Also at the hotel there is a Huracan from GB and the owner asked me how I like my car because he is planning to switch to the R8 because his Huracan attracts way too much unwanted attention.
I love this car, just waiting for a friend in his F12 to arrive Wednesday, so we can have some fun in the mountains here.

Its a SUV, its going to look bland compared to its sportier bothers, but compared to the average "sporty" SUV it looks pretty aggressive, at least I reckon it will in real life. Look at those exaggerated hips for example, and the chiseled sharp front fascia, not usually seen on a SUV. Not my cup of tea but in line with Lambo design IMO.

That is probably more due to the fact many Lambo enthusiasts don't like the idea of a SUV diluting the sportiness of the brand, much like the criticism the Cayenne had back in the day in Porsche forums when it was introduced, but look at it now.

noone1:While they may not love the idea of a Lambo SUV, they were all lining up to put deposits down on the Urus when the concept debuted. I'd say their opinions have actually gone from quite good to quite bad.
They are not the target market. The main impetus is to bring new customers in to the brand.
Of course it is bland in that silly silver color... Make it yellow or red... I would really like to replace my Macan by a bright color Urus, maybe like a 2 year old one below $150k. But the performance would have to be significantly above the Macan turbo and Cayenne TTS and the interior would have to be worthy of their sporty models.
J.Seven:Looks good.
Not my cup of tea, sorry and I really love Lamborghini and I love SUVs.
Let's hope it looks better live...

The manager of "my" Lambo dealership said he saw the Urus without any camouflage and no, it doesn't look that bad. (I hope he is telling the truth)

I'm sure it will look pretty cool, but so does the NX
The engine is a Porsche development, so it cannot be bad...

Now that makes it immensely more interesting
Looks very underwhelming on the road. Doesn't strike me as a Lamborghini.
