Who's saying the Light Pista will be sold in the US at all?
US is the most important country for Ferrari, probably they will use an escamotage. But i'm not sure because the racing seats are illegal in US.

of course Ferrari don't HAVE to offer it in US but given how much of their total production goes to FNA, i'd be very surprised if the car wasn't offered. USA share of CS sales was biggest by far

Yes Rossi, I have decided to go the CS way,
well, I had a cs on order, but the 430 came across, so
but now it's different, the Pista will be there 2 years before the sucessor of the 430 , that will be there only in 2010, but I think now I will stick to the CS or Pista versions, but you never now
About the Pista, or Light Pista (I don't like the light in it ..) is almost nothing known, my dealer will kept me updated of course, but as he said, it will be the ultimate 430. (if you are race orientated, of course).
I really hope they come up with something very special !
Next month (27/3) I will be in Modena, at the Factory, and of course i will try to find out about it ..

I don't like the "light" either! Only "Pista" or "Pista leggera" would have been far nicer IMO.
Of course the Pista will be the ultimate F430, but wait until the F430 successor is out, with magnetic ride and other goodies...

I am puzzled as well. The biggest problem for Ferrari was the air bag issue. According to them, they were physically unable to comply with the DOT requirements based on the 430 configuration. Thus the promise not to sell the 430 in the US beyond september 2008.
BTW, I have driven the 360CS often and though a terrific performance car, I did not find it suitable for frequent public road use. It was too raw and honestly, rough riding. No doubt on the track it would have been a blast to drive.

as far as US my guess they will bring all the cars before september 08.. 360 cs was one year only in US anyway
they will put 599 seats or something similar
the racing seats issue has been dealt with similarly by porsche in GT3's and who wants to get the racing seats buys them aftermarket just like GT3 people do.

Knowing how good the 430 is (against the 360) it will be a REAL BLAST !
can't wait till december, it will be a nice Christmass present again (last Christmas I bought myself a MB CL500 daily driver)
I hope they will make it a very special car !

Don't think so. Concerning the rear bumper it should be the final version. The so called "exhaust holes" are smaller than at the standard F430 BTW, so they did make a change here.
