Horny pics Gnil. Glad to see you took them when stationary.

I have winter tyres (Contis), but not the time to try them in the UK (at least until I go skiing in March). Will PM you with my travel dates so we can do that beer if you're around.

    Have fun,

    SoS.

All the pics taken while driving ( lots ) where too blurry to be posted

I' ll be going skiing too the first week of march.... Would be great to meet . Cheers

(in fact often you are better off with ESP off on the snow...surely for the fun).

...pic number 7 shows exactly what you are saying...

Of course I agree with you guys. I wouldn't want to buy a car where ESP couldn't be de-activated for those situations. However I appreciate ESP for critical situations on my and especially on the cars of other [mildly experienced in vehicle dynamics] drivers. One [clearly not you guys] should stop bragging that ESP is a feature dismissable on someone's own car. Just my 02 cents.

Here it is the first time it snowed down to the plain this winter ( I am on lake Geneva).. The snow will not last around my area, but a 30 min drive takes me to the hills and the mountains where there is now lots of snow.

We passed by geneva 2 weeks ago when we hit for Morzine-Avoriaz to ski.
Never saw so much grass on the mountainslopes as then.
The 3rd of february we come again but only for 3 skiing-days.
So when passing near Geneva i'll be looking for a stunning 997 to pass by...

Just as a relevant point of interest; I was at my OPC last weekend chatting to one of the head workshop engineers. He mentioned that summer tyres lose their grip around 7 degrees centigrade. Anything lower than this you should really have a set of winter tyres on.

Agree with that - with temps around freezing this week my C2S has been sliding all over the place

I only turn mine off when the place is secure ... or when I get stucked or it gets very slippery and I am in very low speed, because ESP will not allow the wheels to move at all anymore, or hardly...

Re: At night in the snow, pics

    Nice pics Gnil!

Was out playing around a bit in the snow too. It is amazing how well this car handles on snow. So much fun. Got 19" with Contis winter tires on my C2S. Will try to remember to bring the camera next time

At noon we usualy lunch at "Les Lindarets" in the "chaudron" or "petit lindarets"
The afternoon tea with pancake is often in "L' abricotine" at the start of the Mosettes telesiege to Switzerlands "les Crosets"
this is my eldest (last year wheb there was more snow...)

Re: At night in the snow, pics

PM when you go, who knows maybe we could meet on the slopes... discussing skiing instead of Porsche for once !

Re: At night in the snow, pics

Nice pictures... i hope you enjoyed drifting.

Re: At night in the snow, pics

Great pics! I was criss crossing between feelings of envy and empathy for your porsches. I think i'm going to stick to my 27celcius weather and be envious of the beautiful scenery.

Re: At night in the snow, pics

Awesome pictures! Thanks for sharing. I wouldn't have done it, but I am sure glad you did. (i have an Audi A6 for winter driving. I am too chicken to to take out the P-car.

    Cheers.
