Thanks for all your feedback!
Yesterday we took the chance to test drive the three wheeler and a Morgan Roadster.
Three Wheeler:
Lookwise - adorable, very cute, a lot of details. Build quality - handmade English product (not more to say). Drive - ok, but lets be straight here. The clutch was as hard as on a track car. My leg hurt after 30 minutes. The well praised Mazda Miata Gear Box is not easy to shift. Very hard to find the right gear. The car is extremely loud and you can drive max. 1 hour before getting a headache. It feels fast and it is fast (5 sec 0-60). But, it had a lot of slip on the rear wheel. Also, the belt drive made ugly noises. What are my thoughts today - beautiful car. Hard to drive, noisy, exhausting. My "itch" went from 100 to 20% - basically the idea of buying one is gone for now. Not sure if this car in particular was bad or maybe they all do drive that shity.
Morgan Roadster (6 Zylinder 286 HP)
The car drawn out attention. It was a stunning beauty. Different story than the three wheeler. Very comfortable, rather soft as harsh but still - a manual car with all the work required to drive. But - a lot of fun to drive. Very fast, too. Nice noise. Same gear box here - not easy to find the right gear, maybe I would get used to it after a while. The steering - a bit slow and not direct enough. Comparing this car to my 60 year old Porsche 356 Speedster is like comparing a 918 to a VW Golf GtI first generation. The Speedster is so much more agile and so much better in handling. Just wondering, how good Porsche was building cars 60 years ago. Back to the Morgan - it is such a beautiful car that I probably would consider buying one. Maybe not today, but one day for sure when I have another garage place. But the itch is probably 70% for the Morgan Roadster.
