With your mounting thing can you mount a vid camera on the outside of your cars and perhaps connect a high quality mic by wire to the camera and mount the mic with vibration protection on the underside of the car. Of course experimentation would be necessary, but you might end up with something equal to getaway in stockholm I.

hehe..im sure all rennteamers are looking forward to when you get your LP640..especially the indepth and detailed, no-stone-unturned review (accompanied by youtube video drivebys + static pictures + internal driving videos)..if you don't..I will personally see to it that my dragoon of winged (but equally skilled on horseback) monkeys pay you a long and painfull visit...

Mike, my friend drove all three at the same time: the R8, the Gallardo and the LP640. For the R8 and the Gallardo he said that the car sounded heavenly. When asked for the 640, he simply stated that it sounded like somebody opened the gates of hell
. I think the 640 will soon be your new favorite car

With each generation of V8 getting a bigger motor , performance increases but the sound gets deeper/throatier .
I will miss the " ear full of hornets " sound of the smaller displacement F355's almost Formula 1 racer -like noise as the revs climb !

Kreissieg may sound nice, but how much do they cost?
To me the F355 sounded fantastic and the F360 was a harsh disappointment in that respect. The F430 does way better in that respect, its sound can match with that of the F355.

With aftermkt exhaust I can detect a bit of that zzzzzZZ sound on the F430 right near redline - very nice . With the F355 is that you get that rippin zzzzzZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ sound from mid rpm on up , even with stock exhaust !
It's the physics of cylinder displacement . The smaller 3.5L was the sweet spot .
Same thing happening with ever increasing size of Porsche's 911 motors.

agree, the 355 is a raw sound and the f430 is still muffled. Both are great though.
