). It's been so nice here in the Central Valley.. As soon as it gets foggy I'll head to the coast or Yosemite for some new, hopefully sunny pics.

Hi Richard,
One thing I noticed is that your attachment pics are all BMP file extensions, as in RichardsPorsche.bmp
bmp file extension stands for bit-mapped-graphics and those files are HUGE! Windows Wallpaper is a bmp file. I'm not sure if this is the problem but I think rennteam photo upload "expects" a jpg file extension. Load one of your Germany pics into any photo software you have and do a "Save As" but save the file as a jpg as in RichardsPorsche.jpg
Now try to upload the new jpg file in rennteam.
I hope this is the problem and I'm not just wasting your time but bitmap graphics are a big no-no (like typing with ALL CAPS ON) because they look lousy and they're so big.

I wish I would've taken a lot more pictures and had the car longer while in Germany. I was too busy driving, enjoying the car and scenery. I kept asking my friend to take more pictures but he was busy sleeping, even while I was driving fast in the twisties.
The day after taking delivery, I headed north to visit Porsche-Jeck (PJ) and his better half. I took the Autobahn , instead of the Rhein scenic route as PJ suggested, because I got a bit of a late start and wanted to make up time. 
The next day, we all went for a very nice, spirited drive in the country. I let PJ drive on the way back..- the only person I've allowed to drive. I almost had to wrestle the key from him afterwards.
The next day, I drove back to Stuttgart... caught some pretty heavy rain on the way- the car remained stable and glued to the road. My plan was to meet up with Matt in Zurich the next day; however, the Cannstatter Volksfest got the best of me that night. Again , sorry Matt- I was bummed out we couldn't meet up .
Following a day of rest and recovery, I went for a very nice, beautiful drive to the Black Forest before returning the "baby" to the factory late in the afternoon. The trip was pretty much perfect, just too short! Hope to do it again!

You checked all the right boxes on the order sheet, including color. I hope to do a factory delivery sometime in 2008. Did Porsche Travel assist you with the itinerary? I imagine that NAV is a necessity for Euro delivery. I have been to the factory in 2001 and again in 2004, including test drives at Weissach driven by factory drivers and myself as passenger. GREAT fun ! Best of luck with the break-in. How many miles did you put on in Europe? Happy trails to you....

And welcome! I highly recommend the factory delivery and driving the car in its natural habitat ( Germany is great, of course!).
Porsche did everything 1st class and I couldn't be more thrilled with the car! Yeah, the test drives at the R&D were awesome too! I planned my own trip- only put a bit over 700 miles on the clock...should've planned more than a week with the car.Cheers/Prost!
