    580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

last year when it was only 580 hp ...

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

    You crazy guy!

You are wearing a scarf, aren't you? Is it getting that freezing in Arabic countries?

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

are you kidding ? i was in germany last year and the temp was 0 .. the feeling wasn`t what i`ve expected , because in kuwait the feeling of 10c very close to 0 in germany ... because the weather is very dry , low humidity which makes the feeling of 10 close to 0 in europ ... now its very cold even its 8 at night , it feels like 1 or 0 in europ . ... but did you tried our summer ? ,, have a look .

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

1.4bar...hmmmmm thats very high! what was your rev limiter set at? The reason I ask is that I've got the 7000rev limiter and I could only manage 335km/h as I was bumping the rev limiter.

Judging by the needle position, about 7100 rpm or so?

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

its 7000 rpm ... but how can you reach 335 ? if its reached very fast then your computer is limited on 335 speed , but if its reached very slow , then i think you dont have much power at high rpm to reach the 340 ... my ECU program wasnt normal ... as i told mr.jan fatthauer (9ff chairman) to increase the power under my responsibility ... the torque was 810 nm !!! which is very very high for a standard connecting rods , for 650 hp kit you will have 790 nm ... my car was realy fast compared with others at the same level of power .

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

if you are talking about the needle position its 7000 , but the real RPM as 9ff told me its 6850 RPM ...

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

    nice video! damn!

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

    Wow....

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

I like the giggle there at the end.

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

    Looks like 12s 200-300. I this car does 0-200 in 11s, that's 23s 0-300... Wao

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

the end is funny, big time you have there

    J.Seven

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

When I hit 335km/h (on the dash) its with rev limiter kicking in (means its the DME who's limiting the revs) thats why I thought you must had the rev limiter at 7100 or so...

RC when he had the 542bhp RS Tuning kit in his old 996 Turbo hitted 341 km/h slightly after 7000revs but he had the 7200rev limiter that RS Tuning sets the DME at on 542 kits.

Heres the link with the foto, please notice the fact that the car only boosts 1.1 bar to get that sort of power:

Meaning RS Tuning kit makes the same speed but with much less stress to the engine

It gets there faster - if he added a longer 6th, that car would probably do (a real) 360 km/h.

No, not quite. The car gains around 10s on the 997TT between 200 and 300kph.

Thus 0-300 should be slightly above 30s,

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

huh , when he reached the 341 the boost lowered to 1.1 ... if you have the video you will see minimumly 1.3 to reach 341 km/h ... its beter to show us the video to prove what you said ... i "wish" to see the video please

i promis that if we tried to race with each other , i will be above him around 2 or 3 street lights .

NOTE : im running only in one gear (6th) , so you cant calculate the time between 200-300 .

about the rev , you have two options , high boost low rev .. or ... low boost high rev ... each one have its advantage , but for high speeds , the high boost reaches the top speed quickly , but the high rev with low boost may have more top speed but reached slowly .

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

    580 hp
    800 nm max torque
    6850 max RPM
    top speed: 340 km/h
    300-340 : blink
    0-300 : 30.1 seconds
    0-200 : 10.7
    0-100 : 3.52

    the parts was :
    1) K24-R
    2)exhaust sys
    3)850 nm clutch with flywheel
    4) ECU upgrade ( )
    --- only ---
i forget to mension additional thig
    5) 9ff badj in the front bonnet

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

I never saw the video (I believe there is no video, just a foto) but I must say that I hit 335km/h (on the rev limiter) without going beyond 1.0bar (0.9 stable and 1.0 peak), it obviously takes longer than yours but the fact is you don't need 1.4bar to get there...

My question was simple, whats your rev limiter set at and at 340 did you hit the rev limiter or not.

    Cheers

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

    Projekt 340+

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

Thanks Crash! As I thought RS Tuning kit comes with the OEM 1.3bar shutdown protection so they don't let the boost get near that.

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

    when is projekt 360 airing?

You can actually calculate 200-300 on this basis. An additional gear-change from 5th to 6th should not make a significant difference (at least in case of the 997TT with its massive torque that is the case, I assume the same for your car)

Hey, you just proved my argument (regarding 0-300 and 6th gear)

    P.S.: Very good performance!

It is possible to get more torque, a lot more.. My sportec stage 2 (K16.520, intake, stock exhaust with racing cats, ecu and various improvements in tubing but also blueprint) had 850NM with 541hp with 1.2 overboost and 1 bar constant. An simple turbo swap upgrade to K16.550 would give around 580hp with 880NM and the response and drivability with modified K16s is much better than K24s. It works like a charm and u can't even tell its a modified car until you go WOT and feel your stomach twist from the push.
I believe since there is at least one experienced tuner that can get 580hp or so with modified K16s its better to use K24s only for 600+ packages for the above reasons.

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

    I recently purchased a 2004 996tt with the X-50 package.

The prior owner installed the Bilstein PSS9 suspension system, a Europipe Stage 2 exhaust and a K&N filter. As far as I know there were no modifications to the ECU?

The car will be used mostly for weekend pleasure driving.

There seems to be a lot of performance upgrade packages available for the 996tt from different vendors.

Any advice on what to do to take the car to the next performance level and who they would recommend using would be greatly appreciated.

Also, anyone have a good source to buy some HRE wheels at a reasonable price?

    Jim

    Re: 580 hp -- 9ff turbo-S ... 340 km/h

Please leave the wheels alone... the car is so nice as Porsche built it, why mess with its looks? On the engine though thats a different story.

880 nm of torque !!! ... have a look on your connecting rods please ... it should be (S) shaped ... you cant get this torque whithout upgrading your engine . with my respect bro , i think you have a typing mistake , maybe you mean 780 nm .
