Oil change and fluid check at one year or 5000 miles is around $1000. The 15000 mile service for belts and other items is around $5000.
Most people continue to have the impression that Ferrari's are expensive to maintain. From my point of view, the more that think that, the better I like it.

How can a a oil change / fluid check cost $1000? Only because owners will actually pay that much is my only guess.

Any idea how much a Porsche oil change cost? They also do fluid, brake and belt checks. The total amount is close to $800.00.
BTW it is beyond my comprehension why anyone would do maintenance service on their car while it is still under warranty. Hell if you are going to pay over $100,000 for a car why in the world would you do your own maintenance?

Dealers not only have the right tools, electronic devices and experience, they also get weekly updates on maintenance regulations, changes and possible problems.
The only problem with dealers: you have to find a good one you can trust.

It seems we finally found something we both can agree on.
Self maintenance on modern cars is not only stupid, it is also dangerous. Dealers not only have the right tools, electronic devices and experience, they also get weekly updates on maintenance regulations, changes and possible problems.
The only problem with dealers: you have to find a good one you can trust.

There is an excellent outside machanic in the San Diego area who works only on Ferrari's. However, on three separate occasions, I have witnessed him referring the cars to the Ferrari dealership for the final repairs.
