    They do look good . I just wondered how necessary they are or if they are more for show .....

    A/C is a big plus on track . Just ask the guys who race track their GT4 club sport V/S the ones in the Cup's

    those incremental changes get pretty ridiculous. .1GT3RS, GT2RS, .2GT3RS they all look alike and can only be distinguished by the buyers themselves. seems that 911 design at the top end got totally stuck. i agree with RC, PAG needs to bring along a mid-engined 960. otherwise we shall all fall asleep when the next GT announcement comes.

    I know. Smiley I always love it when some guys brag about their lightweight cars missing A/C but afterwards, you should see them...as if they took a shower and they are "done" for the day. Also they smell... Smiley Smiley

    IMHO: I'm more interested in what is inside then outside.

    It will be interesting to see what they do to the motor.  Some people have speculated that the 4.0 GT3 is artificially limited in power a bit in the ECU that could be unleashed for an RS.  Or maybe we'll see a little more than 9k revs?  Or maybe 4.2L (I think they may keep this for a limited car like 997 RS 4.0)?

    AP specified that they have now a few month to finish and fine tune  the inside of the GT2 RS . I guess some of that work is making that proper piece and not take if from an older 991.1 GT3 RS

    I can confirm that. I was lucky enough to recently see, albeit briefly, a future Porsche production schedule. It showed the GT3 RS entering production in March and finishing in November.     Were you one of the guys who was asked whether you wanted a manual gearbox in your RS?  You think it will be offered?  You think there will be both an RS and a limited edition (maybe Cup edition or RS 4.2)?

    RS stands for fastest on track in Porsche speak, and PDK is fastest. For track use I want paddles. They agreed. They still don't understand why would people want manual in a track car. For street use like mountain carving, yeah, manual make sense, hence they reintroduce the manual on the GT3.

    When did you hear that? There were some rumored development challenges regarding that 4.2 l engine but never heard of a 4.0 for the 991.2 GT3 RS. My "latest" rumor is from two weeks ago, so maybe something changed?

    I remember reading years ago from Porsche that 4.0L was as big as the flat 6 could get due to inertia of internal parts... technology advances more than we think
